How can I go back to original operating system?

Hi,
as Windows 7 is a improved and many times better Windows, I suggesr you to stay with it.
No, you may not recover if you do not have:
  1. a recovery media ( such as DVD / CD)
  2. a recovery partition

If you do have these, you may go back to Windows Xp. Windows 7 is just better.

I downloaded windows 8 preview and lost windows 7, how do I get rid of w-8 and get my w 7 back barry

If you have windows 8 CP/RP installed in your computer and you want to have windows 7 back, the only way is to make a clean install (format) of windows 7. Because Microsoft Windows does not allow downgrading to windows 7 from windows 8.

So grab a Windows 7 DVD or USB drive and make a format.

Hope this helps, Mrityunjay.

What's your problem? Is it possible to get my old windows 7 back after installing windows 7 ultimate & found to be snide how can I get my old windows back with no back up disk

Check your hard drive and see if there is a folder labeled windows.old

That is the old windows that was replaced by the new one. Click Start/My Computer and look on the C Local drive for windows.old

Then go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "how to restore windows.old" (without the quotes). Look for instructions from Microsoft site.

I bought the windows 7 ultimate of eBay I now know it is counterfeit I bought it because wanted upgrade and I forgot my log on password and could not access my computer the windows 7 lasted 6 months but...

Unfortuneately you have loaded the new window 7 disc which wipes out any personal data and the older version of window 7, at this point you have nothing to loose and try a recovery, if it does work you will be back to square one with your password required, if that happens let me know, I may be able to help.

KVM is Starview SV411. I'm Testing Windows 7. The problem occurs with all versions of Windows 7 but does not occur with previous versions of Windows nor with Linux. I set the display to 1680x1050 on...

The KVM switch you have did not support "Active Full-time DDC" which Windows 7 need to keep communicating with all connected systems over the KVM switch. Two solutions: find a DDC Ghost adapter put in between the KVM switch and connected Win 7 system. Or just replace a new KVM switch which support Full-time Active DDC function - such as ConnectPRO new PR or UR serial KVM switches.
