Samsung WF457ARGS 27" Front-Load Washer with 4.29 cu. ft. Capacity, 21 Wash Cycles, 13 Options, PowerFoam, Steam Washing, Smartphone Control/Monitor and 8" Touch Screen LCD Logo
Posted on Oct 07, 2015

My 2yr old washer has LCD screen which seems to be only responsive in one area of screen. beyond frustrating! Troubleshooting/repair cost experience appreciated!

The right side of screen is unresponsive to touch. The scrolling thru cycles on teh left side of the screen is VERY grouchy, and the desired cycle must be on upper left corner of screen to be selected. kill me. :\

I'm experiencing the same problem. How did you solve this? Is this just a matter of replacing the LCD? Or is this a control board issue?

HP Photosmart R927 LCD screen has no color. Any idea what may have caused this and how can I fix it?

Defective CCD image sensor or LCD screen go to bad. Read this ans try to test it; it is the device that responsible for capturing the image when the shutter is released and seems to be malfunctioning in dimly lit areas. There is no other solution to this problem apart from getting the image sensor replaced. Not sure how much Samsung charges for the fix in your area, so it might be a good idea to get a quote from them before you decide whether to send it in for repair.

I suggest check THIS LINK for additional details in this previous solutions for an Defective CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and next contact your Canon service.
I strongly suggest (taking into consideration the age of your camera) to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of a new camera with similar features, before making a final desicion.

Hope helps.

The washer does not power up on pressing the power button.

It appears your timer/main controller has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Digital camera lcd broken

You may be able to fix it yourself if you can find a replacement screen. I usually search ebay for a broken camera with other problems that I can cannibalize. Here's some examples on LCD replacement. Don't recommend that you try this yourself, unless you have at least some experience with electronics.

Otherwise, the cost of professional repair may be close to or beyond the value of the camera. A better option is to sell the camera on ebay for other repair hobbyists to attempt replacing the screen for themselves. You actually may get a good price for the camera IF it's still capable of taking pictures.

Hope for repair?

Yes, it is possibly repairable, depending on damage to it. Or you can find many FE-210 cameras on ebay with broken LCD screens but good lenses. Lens is fairly easy to replace for someone mechanically inclined and fairly gentle with components.
