SOURCE: Whirlpool washer overflow during wash cycle

What you can try is to get the machine empty and remove the hose that connects the pressure hose to the switch and blow air through it to make sure it is clear, then tap on the nozzle where the hose connects on the switch to make sure it is also clear.

SOURCE: Admiral Top Load Washer Model LNC6762B71 overflowed

Remove the control console cover. Find the water level switch.
It has a small tube attached to it.
Remove the tube and blow air through it. It is probably stopped up. Reattach it to the water level switch.
Look over the length of the tube and may sure it is not pinched.
Set the washer to spin and run spin for about 1 minute.
Then run water on a lower level and see if it shuts off.
If not replace the water level switch.

Kenmore Elite Oasis Washer displays "ol" code no matter the size of the load.

There is a small arm that contacts a switch in the tub area, When the tub wobbles and strikes it you get an error code OL=overloaded. The arm is bound up and must be lubricated.

Kenmore Washer only leaking from one area

Ive never worked on a Kenmore but it may just be the overflow outlet. All washing machines have an overflow which will dump water out from the top of the tub if it overfills but sometimes on high fill water level, clothes can splash around and cause a "wave" of water to splash out over the overflow outlet. Check to see if the leak only occurs when you have selected high level fill.

What cu. ft washer in a model 110-82870120 top load kenmore washer.

you can find out by measuring the depth of the tub in inches. Measure the diameter of the tub at the opening where you put the clothes in. Multiply those 2 numbers. Then divide the figure by 144 which is a cubic foot in inches. That will Give you the cubic feet.

Example Depth of 23 inches and diameter of 21 inches. 23X21= 483/144 = 3.35 cu. ft.

Kenmore washing machine Type 111 Model 110 - 26492503 water over flowing while starting the cycle. Not stopping on the level of water required.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Overfilling in your washer occurs mainly due to two things: water inlet valve going bad and/or the water level switch. If the water inlet valve has gone bad it won't be able to shut off even when the electricity has been turned off. If the issue is with the water level switch then it won't tell the water to shut off and the machine will overflow as this switch is to sense the water level in the clothes tub. However, with that being said it seems that you'll need to replace the water inlet valve. Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Washer overflows after taking it apart

You may have missed something when putting it together. Take it apart again then check and properly install the following:
  1. Water inlet valve. It may not be able to shut completely when the electricity has been turned off. The valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub. Water may accumulate substantially and overflow.
  2. Water level switch. This switch senses the water level in the clothes tub. It is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the air pressure in the tube increases and activates the switch when the water reaches a certain level. When the switch is obstructed, it cannot tell the water to shut off and the machine overflows.Clear it from any obstruction.
