Do you want to print out settings? Do you want to print a printhead check? Make sure supplies are loaded and the printer is ready to print. Turn off the printer, press X button, turn on the printer while pressing de X button and release the button after aprox 5 seconds from power on. This will print out the configuration page. Do the same but with the Pause button, and you will get a printhead quality test. Note that the test with Pause button it will stop automaticly only after some 10 printed labels . You will need to restart the printer after that, or press the cancel button several times.
Hi, if is the vertical line, its the print head that need to be replaced, try to clean the print head and try this to confirm: turn printer off, press PAUSE button and at the same time, power on, don't release the button, please wait until printer LCD screen come on, then release button. It will print the PAUSE test and after few 3-4 prints, u can turn off and on again otherwise printer not ready to print your labels until u restart it. (pause test stops after 10-15 labels). this pause print just show how the print head is and if come with vertical lines, u will need to replace. other idea is (if u can) turn the bar code different position or on vertical way at label format. Thanks.

A constant red light usually means the printer is out of ribbon or labels. It may just not recognize the size of the label so try a manual calibration to set the size.
1. turn the printer off
2. press and hold down the FEED button while turning on the printer
3. Keep holding down on FEED until the led flashed once, then let go
4. The printer will do an auto-calibration on the label.
When it's done, pressing FEED should advance 1 label. It's then ready to go.
Power the printer on and get it to the Ready state. With the printer on and in the Ready state, open the front cover. Press and hold the Cancel button until all of the lights begin flashing up and down. Release the Cancel button and close the door. The photoconductor count should now be reset. To confirm that the photoconductor page count has been reset, it is recommended that you print a menu settings page and check the photoconductor level. Do the following: With the printer at the Ready status, press the Continue button once. The Ready light will begin flashing and one or two pages will print out. Look for a section labeled Cartridge Information and locate the word Photoconductor under this heading. Confirm that the photoconductor level reading is either OK or close to 100%. If the reading is low, try printing 10 - 20 pages. Print the menu settings page(s) again. Confirm that the photoconductor level reading is OK or close to 100%.
Good luck, Gerrit Jan
Try resetting the printer: Note: it will erase all network settings.
Turn the printer off, press and hold the GO button, turn the printer back on, continue holding the GO button for at least 10 seconds, but for fewer than 20 seconds. After the Go, Attention, and Ready LEDs turn on, release the GO button. During this process, the Attention LED will turn on, the LEDs will begin to cycle, and the unit will perform a cold reset until the printer returns to the Ready state.
NOTE: If either the Go or Ready light turn off or no LEDs turn off before the GO button is released, repeat the process.
For PCL XL error: try to reinstall the printer drivers.
If your zebra label printer is not feeding to the next label correctly it may need to be calibrated. Follow these steps to calibrate the printer:
Turn off printer and have media loaded (on older Transports, with no ON/OFF switch, remove battery).
Hold feed button down, and turn printer back on (on older Transports, re-insert battery) while holding down the feed button.
When the light starts flashing, release the feed button.
Printer light will turn green and advance a few blanks.
After printer stops advancing and prints the internal information, press the feed button one time.
You will get another label with the “Out of Dump” message on it.
Printer is now ready for use.

Note: If printing in Direct Thermal Mode, default the printer first (4 flashes).
1. Load the labels and ribbon (if used) and close the printer 2. Turn on the printer power. 3. Allow the printer to feed or error out. 4. Press and hold the feed button until the green status LED flashes once, then twice. Release the feed button. 6. The printer will set the media sensor for the label backing being used and then automatically feed until a label is positioned at the printhead. 7. A profile of the media sensor settings (similar to the example in Figure 1) will print. Upon completion, the printer will save the new settings in memory and the printer is ready for normal operation. 8. Press the feed button. One entire blank label will feed. If this does not happen, try defaulting (Hold the FEED button until it flashes 4 times)
If the printer is printing nothing but blanks, try another roll of labels.
If the printer is printing blanks in between labels, it probably needs to be gap sensed. You can do this by: 1. turn the printer off. 2. hold the feed button down and then power the printer back on while still holding the feed button down. 3. release the feed button when the light flashes. 4. the printer will then regap itself 5. when the regapping is done, press the feed button once. It will print on the label that it is 'out of dump' 6. the printer should then be ready to go.
