Candy Crush will not go past game 281 although completed

What has changed? If the android store has updated anything, that may be the cause. See what was updated before this started.

This is well known issue with lot of complaints.
You can try these:
- Kill the Candy Crush app from the "Settings/App" menu
- Clear the Candy Crush app cache
- Turn OFF all network connections (WiFi and mobile network)
- Restart Candy Crush

Sounds like you reached the point they will let you play until they stop you unless you pay for something.

are you actually shutting down the game?
i.e. by double pressing the home button and 'sliding' the app of the top of the page.... if not the game remains sleeping in the background.
try this and then fully poet off using the red power off slide. leave for a couple of mins and turn back on.
re start the game and connect to Facebook.
i did have this problem and found this helped, although i downloaded new update and it has not happen since.

You will most likely have to delete the game and redownload it from the App Store. As long as you are logged into Game Center and so is your candy crush game, all your data will still be there when you redownload it.

Click on game candy crush then it will say sync with facebook and sign in through facebook.

I never could connect on my android 2.3 phone, but then I read something online about needing to uninstall and re-install the facebook app on the phone... the facebook app came with my phone, and my phone would not let me uninstall it! I WENT TO THE GOOGLE PLAY STORE AND SEARCHED FACEBOOK. When it came up, it had the option to update my facebook app, so I updated it, after that CANDY CRUSH CONNECTED TO FACEBOOK NO PROBLEM... go figure... my phone has automatically updated the facebook app several times, but the candy crush app would never connect until I updated the app manually using the google play store... Bizare!
