Common problems with Sharp Aquos 60" tv's model # LC-60LE820UN

Hi I have a sharp Aquos 60 " tv model# LC-60LE820UN. And I was watching it and it was working fine then when I went to shut it off it won't turn off with remote or on set so I unplugged it. When I plugged it back in it won't turn on nothing no lights flashing nothing remote or on set. I tried unplugging and holding power button on set as I saw you advized someone else to do but still nothing. Thought I would try turning on my amp which tv is connected to through HDMI and the lights in the bottom right corner power button and others light up but still nothing, tried unplugging again and doing the 10 sec hold and when I plugged it back in the lights didn't come back on so I turned off the amp again and lights came back on!!

SOURCE: Hi I have a Sharp aquos tv that won't turn but does weird things. is there an easy diy way to fix this.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

I can't find the firmware update file for my sharp aquos lc-46le820m tv

It's software, not firmware. It's not available from anywhere except Sharp. You need to access your country support page first.

https://global.sharp/support/download.html

Page 60 of the manual. Note you should only update if there is a specific problem. Everything you take these executable files, there is a chance that you turn your device into a paperweight.

1 short 1 long blink on sharp aquos LC-60LE820UN

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

The light in the middle bottom of screen is blinking with no picture

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication. You can get an idea about the faulty stage circuit inside the TV, by the number of these blinks. Count it carefully, by switching it ON and OFF, more than 2 times at least, so that, you can make sure about the number of these blinks. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here.
