Record a Personal Greeting


Access the answering system from any handset. Wait until the system finishes its announcements, or press 5 (Stop) to skip them.

Press 8 (RecNewGreeting).

Wait for the system to say "Record greeting," then begin speaking.

When you're finished, press 8 to stop recording. The system plays back your new greeting.


To keep this greeting, press End. To re-record it, go back to step 2.

You have a Panasonic 7636 PHONE. The system is either a TDA/TDE or NCP. The Voice Mail system is either embedded or a TVA and it comes with a set of instructions. Custom service announcements and company greetings are administered from the message manager's mailbox 998. Check your original installation notes and documentation for how to do that.

It's not called page, it's INTERCOM. On the face of most Panasonic phones, there's a button labeled AUTO ANS. When you press it, it lights up. If the options are set properly, it becomes the Voice Announce/Auto Answer button. Every phone you want to have the VA feature on has to have that button lit. When you call them on the intercom, it will beep twice and your voice will be on the set and they may or may not be able to answer back handsfree.

It requires system programming and theere's a code you can dial to block it.

A Panasonic 7730 phone operates on 18 different Panasonic Key Systems. There are 5 or so different ways to record a message...which one is yours?

The 7730 was first delivered with the TA-824 system. It has the ability for announcements via DISA, which was built in to the USA versions of the TA. It's recorded or changed via the master phone and PROGRAM 911.

A Panasonic TVA or TVS voice mail system does auto attendant functions. It can have both company greetings and custom service messages. Those are changed via mailbox 998, the message manager's box.

Last, the newer system also have "bulit-in" voice mail boxes. Those greetings are recorded by 722xx commands.

name after the 2nd ring. If you turn on

This is the info from the users manual, it seems a bit strange,
but claims if you set the number of rings before it answers, (for the answering system) to "2" it will stop the audible caller ID.

The KX-T7633 phone (the model you selected) does not have that feature directly. However, the automated attendant can make those announcements for numbers you enter and prerecord names for, both on a system wide basis and within your mailbox.

In addition, the system can work with "talking caller ID boxes" if they are plugged into an SLC port with the Caller ID option. This works, but is not something many installers are even aware of.

Selector code 3 is playing an announcement. You have to go into programming, press selector code 3. depending on the voiceail yu have....you may be able to modify it right there.. Other wise you willl have to find the annuoncements.
