The main PCB has failed and will need to be replaced. Best to call your local appliance technician for this one.

Why is there no heat to dryer

Check your circuit breaker for a bad breaker. If you can measure 20 V AC at the wall plug the circuit breaker is ok. If you read 115 VAC from one terminal to the center terminal then only one side of the dual breaker has tripped. There is no fix for this problem other than to replace the breaker in the power panel.

The dryer will not start

is the door closed tight? Does the receptacle have power? Did a breaker in the panel box trip? usually washers and dryers have their own breaker

Washer tripped breaker on elec. panel, reset, washer won't turn o

This sounds like something has shorted causing the breaker to trip. You definitely need a qualified LG repairman to check it out.

Maytag 3000 Series front load gas dryer (Whirlpool) - No lights, no digital display, not able to turn on or start. Yes, unit is plugged in to AC outlet. Yes, AC voltage is good at 120V. Yes, circuit...

OK everyone, my ears are red. Over the weekend, I gave this another shot, since my warranty repair appointment isn't until next week.

I opened the dryer door (the drum light is off, indicating no power at all) and went to the circuit breaker box, and flipped the washer/dryer breaker back to off and then re-set the breaker again.

When I got to the laundry room - the drum light was on!

So I powered up the unit, and ran the machine. It ran for about one minute, and then went off. So I went back and re-set the breaker again.

Visually, the breakers did NOT LOOK tripped - but flipping the thing off and then on to re-set the breaker worked.

This time, the dryer is working fine. The bad part is: I need to replace the breaker for the second time. So this is NOT a defective dryer, it is a bad electrical supply. I will call the electrician back to make him fix this right. . . . .

Thanks again for all who responded. This is a new unit, purchased on 7/7/2009.

Washer ge wprb9110dww

Hi! mastermech51
If I understand the main difficulty is the breaker trips on the main breaker panel? If this is so have an electrician check the current or amperage draw at the breaker panel when the washer shuts down. It could be just a loose terminal on the breaker, or a bad breaker. This also is dependent on what other loads are on the washer circuit.

Maytag stackable LSE7806ACE - dryer wont run...washer is fine..

I had the same problem, take the easy rout first and check for obstructions in your venting. Mine was clogged and it shut itself down (to protect itself?)

Bearing replaced on Dryer

The first place is to check you incoming power a dryer will rotate but wont heat if ony one leg of the 220v pwr is coming in do you have a meter to test ?? you can also go to the breaker panel turn off and back on the breaker as a weak breaker will do this if you have done this and still no heat you will need a meter to check some things also if you remove the 3 screws on the panel between the washer and dryer you will see the element.Make sure to turn the pwr off before touching any wire connections..Let me know what you come up with
