I would recommend disconnecting each flex cable to the SU board then connect them one by one then turn on the tv each time you connect each flex cable to see which one is causing the problem. Clean each one before connecting and maybe just by cleaning or reconnecting them may solve the intermittent problem.

There are at least two issues here. First you have bad buffer boards. Second Very possibly a bad X-Main bd and P-Logic bds. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.

Be sure the TV has no problem by playing a DVD player. If problem remains unchanged, call for service because a few boards could involve to. In the worse case, panel should be defective.

Hi, Depeending on the thickness of the lines matters. If the lines are Black and about 1-2 inches thick it may be a bad bottom buffer board or a bad panel (screen).
If the lines are thin 1/16 to 1/8 inch it is most likely a bad panel.
You can open up the set and depending on the model, see the thin board/boards running across the bottom with ribbon cables going to the panel. You may be able to attempt reseating the ribbon cables, but be careful as some retainer plugs break very easy.
If the lines are thick black and the reseating doesn't correct it you may be able to buy the coresponding buffer. Unfortunately some bottom buffers are actually part of the panel. If you are not comfortable taking it apart then call a professional but be aware labor charges start around $200 not counting parts, panels start at $600 up to over $1000

Hi I have a 50 inch LG LCD projection TV I think it's about 2005-2006? It seems work fine when I first turn it on, after a while an hour or so it gets blue streaks across the screen from top to bottom about a thrid of the way in from the left side. Can this be fix?
