In the top of steering wheel an passenger side is in the dash panel . Should be marked air bag . Now if your looking for the SRS - air bag module , could be under the passenger seat or under the center console . Is the air bag light lit ? If so codes are stored .
Check the cigar fuse in fuse box. Not only check the fuse, check for voltage on fuse circuit, use a test lite. As Jeff says, check the relay. Could be wiring problem in steering column, if you have an air bag in steering wheel, you have to be careful, there are safety issues with air bags, safety is your responsibility.
It's usually the contacts in the steering wheel behind the horn and air bag. You will have to remove the air bag to access the horn contacts. Make sure you remove the battery terminals from the battery before working on any air bag system! You may have to pull the steering wheel completely, depending on the setup. You can rent the puller from your local parts store. If you can not adjust the wires/contacts for the horn, you may have to buy a new set. Fairly inexpensive, but they may have to order the part, in which you will have to put everything back together until the part comes in, and then start back over. I was able to access mine in my Crown Victoria by just removing the air bag, hopefully it's the same. Hope this helps!
you have to pull your ground wire off your battery so you dont set off your air bag and then pull on your horn cover which is you air bag and under your air bag is a nut pull that nut and then put your steering wheel puller on it and pull the steering wheel
1 remove negative battery cable 2 remove air bag module from steering wheel, this is usually bolted thru from the back of the steering wheel 3 remove steering wheel retaining nut. 4 Using a steering wheel puller pull steering wheel from steering shaft.
Well first disconnect the positive side of the battery. Then I recommend grounding the positive battery cable to the frame or negative side of the battery. (This will insure you have all possible stored voltage removed from your system). Your 95 model has two types of steering wheels and air bags. Model 1 there are four holes in the back of the steering wheel. You simply push a small punch or ice pick in the center to release the airbag from the steering wheel. If you have the later model 1995, there is a slot and you have to push a wire clip that holds the bag to the steering wheel. Once you get the air bag off the wheel, it just unplugs and you remove the steering wheel using a puller. All GM air bag circuits are yellow. They won't deploy without power. turn wheel so tires are straight-turn key to lock remove key -disconnect neg term at battery- remove air bag fuse in panel by drivers door-remove left side dash knee panel- unplug the connector position assurance(cpa) and yellow 2 way connector at base of steer/column--un lock steer/wheel and turn 90 deg --using a screw driver at the back of s/w is an opening push screw driver in opening releasing clip-turn wheel 180 deg other way and do same -tilt air bag up to access wiring connector disconnect inflator module and cpa clip
it takes a special puller to remove the steering wheel. the air bag just pops out with a release tool in the release hole on the side of the steering wheel
