Risograph cr1610/1630. What does E16 indicate?

The e16 error code indicates that there is a problem with the machines door lock.

These specific codes indicate the following:
E08 means that the Motor jammed or tacho fault
E16 means that the heating element is shorted or that there is a short in the circuit containing the element.
E03 This error code indicates that the water is not draining quickly enough.
Before doing anything it is worth removing the washing machine mains plug from the power outlet and leaving the machine disconnected for at least ten minutes. This will reset the codes if no faults still exist. Then plug the machine back in and select required wash routine. If all is well, well done you just needed to reset the machine. If a fault code is still showing then it would indicate there is still a problem in the area indicated.
You said you had checked that the filter was ok, it is also worth checking that your drainage hose is not blocked or
kinked.

Error code E16 indicates that remaining ink is unknown.
It is common problem in refilling the cartridge. To fix this problem you need to deactivate ink level detection function. Follow this procedure: press and hold STOP/RESET button for about 9 seconds or more then release it. Now E16 has disappeared and the printer should work properly. As consequence, ink volume in panel become UNKNOWN. No problem. It will be back to normal condition when you replace the cartridge with new one. good luck !

E16 indicates a motor lock with the inking motor. Disassemble the ink pump unit and check for proper rotation of the inking motor itself. This error is caused by a current overload.
Also, remember to try powering on the machine while holding down the reset key to clear all error codes first.

press stop reset button for few seconds and you can use your black cartridge for printing,but do remember to put use black only setting in ur printer cartridge settings.
