If your old engine/control has the same 'options' as the30hp, yes everything is compatible... (Electric start or trim )
The throttle and shift cables are allways compatible...

In The Under Side Of The Tiller Is A Screw Loosen It Off That Is The Throttle Tension er, On Some Models The Front Portion Of The Grip Rotates And Tensions The Throttle

have a problem , check impeller pump

Hi have you tried it with the stop switchl/button disconnected, if so you have only got the stator under the flywheel left to replace, regards Phil.

hi obviously a fuel fault someware / when motors are winterised the fuel system is usualy emptied, this causes gaskets and diaphrams to dry out and split try it with the tank filler off /replace the diaphram in the carb and i am pretty shure that will solve the problem /nb / as this motor has stood for a time and does not do much work /outboards love work check the water pump impellor and put a spoonful of oil in a full tank of gas hope this helps merlin v12
