want the whole shop manual posted here>?
no county stated
no year, 1988 to 1989?
no car, used in 5 different cars, not one sold here in usa.
then want answers, our books only list in that order.
547 cc
the other poster, thinks its a 4 cylinder it NOT its just 3.
so, failure.
to install a distrib, you need to know only 4 facts.
1: firing order.
2: and rotor spin direction, (crank it to see that)
3: where is #1 TDC firing. that is when both intake valves are closed. on #1.
4: where is #1, its on the crank pulley/belt end of engine
then the steps.... ill not post them.
seeing as how I DONT know if the distributor is slot drive or gear driven.
never seen a 547cc ever, (cept my motor cycles)
the common G10 engine is 1,3,2 order, not saying yours is.
here to scare posters that cant read. F5B
the f5a is gear drive... may be yours too.
why not go to your countries suzuki dealer and buy the book.
on this engine, that we dont have here.
to set lash first find the spec., on lash, sorry not here in USA.
but you can see those last adjusting screws above.
right?
then walking then engine 1,3,2 order set each rocker lash to
spec, at TDC firing,, 1 then 3, then 2, in that order
turning crank Clock wise. facing pulley.
done. all engines can be lash set at each cylinders TDC point.
firing.
all can but new cars with electric valves, and is not on topic.
last is your question, answered in generic forum
we dont know what cap post is #1, sorry, no car here. or books.
but if youd had marked it , at the beginning of all this.
we'd not have this post, would we.
but you need to find that out.
then make the cap and base for #1 terminal
put engine at TDC mark #1 firing
and insert drop the distributor so that the rotor lands on #1
it has a gear so you must repeat this, the gear is spiral cut.
so back the rotor up., to get that right.
you must get the base of distrb, to land so the slot adjuster is centered, and rotor at #1 term
lock down the distrb clamp.
next insert wire 1 to spark 1 and cap 1
then wire 3 to spark3 and cap 3 in proper rotor direction (#2 list)
wire 2 is obvious.
start engine.
