My tablet shows everything in reverse. I don't know how or why it started doing this. What are my options about getting it fixed or will i have to buy another tablet.

Turn off tablet by pressing and holding the power button until the tablet switches off.
Press the volume up button and keep it pressed while pressing the power button to start the tablet again.
The tablet should enter the Engineer's mode, displaying a text menu.
Use the volume button to scroll the menu and the power button to select an option.
Carry out the Reset To Factory option to delete everything.

Option one: Do a soft reboot: "long-press" the power button and the Volume up for about 10-seconds to force a reboot. Option two (the nuclear option), if your tablet continues to freeze, hard reboot to the original factory settings.

Since I don't know which exact Proscan Tablet you have, here is how to restore the PLT9045K.
1) Make sure the tablet is powered down.
2) Press and hold VOLUME UP(+) and DOWN(-) buttons, plus POWER button all at the same time.
3) Insert a metal pin in the RESET hole at the back of the tablet, then push and hold it for 2 seconds, while still holding the VOLUME and POWER buttons. Make sure the pin is pushed. It seems like nothing happened, but just keep on going to the next step.
4) Power ON the tablet and immediately, PRESS and RELEASE continuously the VOLUME UP(+) button in order to get the display as showing dead tablet (dead robot).
5) This is the critical part. Make sure you do the right sequence or you will start again from the beginning. Press and hold the POWER button, then press and release VOLUME UP(+), and the display will give you a screen showing different options.
6) Choose the option wipe data/factory reset, by clicking POWER button to scroll down. To execute the selected option, press VOLUME UP(+) button. The tablet will reboot back to its factory setting.

Is this doing this only when plugged in?

If you don't want to reformat your system, I think you have to make a rest disk or use some tool to do all the job for you. Such as Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0. Burn a boot CD with the program, and insert it into the problem computer and your password will be reset to "Blank".

Someone has set the BIOS password option to ON. If you don't know your BIOS password then you will have to reset the BIOS to get past this.

According to the following link...looks like you would have to find/get a Docking Bay to hook up an External CD/DVD ROM in order to have a better chance of putting a operating system back on it.
