Removed wire from LOW OIL SHUTDOWN. STILL NO SPARK What do I do next
Check the operation of the on/off switch
Testimonial: "I will find a way to disconnect the on/off switch. It feels and sounds solid. I am guessing that it's failure rate is about equal to the magnito failure."
to test an off switch just use a multi meter set for continuity and put the leads across the back of the switch
turn it on and off should show a circuit and no circuit
check the wires back to the coil
The problem is in gaining access to the back of that switch. Coleman design engineers have a diabolical sense of what might fail. Then they hide it!
know the feeling well--like putting the bank of 3 spark plugs next to the fire wall and then saying that they have to be change on a regular interval but to get to them the engine has to be rolled forward
see if you can undo the whole control panel from the frame and if it will move forward just enough to get to the back of the switch
or if you are adventurous enough find the wire from the coil to the switch and cut and fit bullet connectors in the wire and test it from there to earth ( ground ) through the switch
