This is probably a silly question but how do I access the pump filter to clean it.

The How to videos show it being behind the plinth but it isn't there on my machine just a metal plate which I can't remove! Thank you!

SOURCE: hotpoint aquarius wf325 filter problem, not accessable??

If you are certain that your washer has no filter at the front behind the lower removable panel, it is usually held on by 3 scews which you have to undo, or just held in place with plastic lugs, then you will have to remove the lower rear cover of washer. Locate large black hose at lower right of tub, remove clip and hose.
inside you will see the plastic filter,
Remove and clean filter, refit filter and plastic ball if it has one, refit hose and clip securely, and water test for leaks.
Be careful when you remove hose as there will be water run out.

Please make sure you have it unplugged before you do all this.
Plz rate my solution, and feel free to leave any comments.
Thanks.

How do I clean the pump on my whirlpool 6th sense washing machine?

If you mean the impeller is jammed then take the filter out and clean the debris that is jamming it up.
Normally the water flow when draining the machine is enough to clean it.

How do you remove the lower front cabinet plinth on a Zanussi IZ 16 S washing machine?

Why? If I remember correctly behind the plinth do not have access to anything. If you need to replace the drain pump or filter housing you can access from the bottom or open housing of washing machine. This washing machine has a housing split into two halves and afterwards you will have access to almost all components of the washing machine.
If you need to replace just plinth, may help this spare part list.

Error codes

If it a washer dryer e06 usually means its not draining, check the filter (bottom, behind plinth). If it is just a washing machine it is possibly a heating fault.

Machine not spinning or draining water

Machine has to pump out before it can spin.So if not pumping out it is either blocked up somewhere or the pump is jammed. If pump is on the r/h/s behind the plastic plinth try to undo filter (obviously having bailed the machine out as much as you can before hand otherwise you`ll get a triffle moist!) undo filter and clean it out and dry around so that when you refit the filter it will not leak+get a torch and look into the pump chamber you should see a white four bladed impellor-have a damn good look and see if there is anything jamming this impellor,if so remove it carefully without breaking the impellor.See if this is the problem and or before you do this ,if your outlet pipe pushes to the nozzle under the sink rather than down a down pipe, check here for blockages too as very common on the washer dryers.

Does not drain, Error code E20

e20 means either the pump or water path to the drain is blocked or the pump is faulty or jammed. some machines have a filter or pump acces on the front of the machine near the plinth area. others you have to access from under the machine.

Hi I have a Hotpoint Bwm20 washing machine that will not go into spin cycle, it doesn't appear to be draining down. I've cleaned out the filter and overflow and all is clear. Please help? thanks

Isolate from electrical supply.Remove plinth which gives access to drain pipe and pump - drain, remove plug and and any debry, then check that pump revolves freely. Remove top and ensure that the tube connected to pressure swich isnt blocked.
