More likely, there something frozen or broken in the mechanism you can fix. If the lock mechanism is frozen, a new actuator won't fix anything.

Sometimes Car does not respond to remote control . some times drivers side door button come up half way. if i use key in door all buttons popup. but key cannot be removed all door lock up to pull key

4 things to consider.
1. Does your key fob transmitter need a new battery.
Replace battery.

2. The remote module is faulty.
Replace module.
3. The lock actuators may have worn out.
Replace actuators (it may only be 1 or 2 of them)

4. (Most likely) All the associated wiring may need checking for earthing problems and /or breaks. The spade type connectors often rust inside the door.

(But if you can, pull each lock up by hand to see if its smooth. If you have to put real effort in to pull it out then the actuator is the problem)

Good luck...

The driver door won't lock

if you can manually lock it with key,and from inside the car also
then there is a bad relay

if you can lock it with key but not from push button on driver side door then the actuator is bad

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Looks like that you have a faulty door lock actuator that's why it's not responding with the remote. If the actuator is faulty it tends to trip, sometimes will open sometimes won't. Using the key will surely lift the locks upward and by then the actuator can work again.

Have the door lock actuator replaced and you'll be good.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Programming keyless remote

2003-04 Mazda 6 REMOTE PROGRAMMING

Step 1: Open drivers door and leave open.

Step 2: Lock and unlock the driver’s door using the power door lock switch on the door.

Step 3: Insert key into the ignition.

Step 4: Turn key to on position and return to off position. (IMPORTANT - use ON position NOT ACC position). Do this 3 times within 10 seconds. Leave key in the ignition.

Step 5: Open and close the driver’s door 3 times. (Door should be left open after this step).

Step 6: ECU should respond by locking and unlocking the doors.

Step 7: Press any button on remote #1 twice. ECU responds by locking and unlocking the car doors.

Step 8: Press any button on remote #2 (etc.) twice. Each time the ECU will respond by locking & unlocking the doors.

Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a final time with a series of door locks and unlocks. You're done!

Good Luck.
