check the mhr on the batteries you use
they should be re-chargeable batteries as alkaline batteries do not have what it takes and run down very quickly
the re-chargeable battery should be around the 2000 mhr rating
Hi, I am afraid your batteries are dead.. they are replaceable Chargeable batteries ,pls replace them as soon as possible. .try to buy more amps rated ones to use it longer among charges.... Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up for me to continue for Helping out the Community :) Thanks
After correctly installing our batteries and reassembling the shaver, it will not turn on until it has been plugged in. You should then charge the batteries for 4 hours. Then use the shaver until it completely runs out of power and stops. You can then use the shaver as normal. It may take 2-3 charge cycles to maximize the battery 'chargeability'
Hi,
to reach the internal battery You have to
1) gently detach the L(left) internal soft ear cover from the headphones,
2) Unscrew the 4 internal screws

To replace the original NiCd 600mAh battery, You have to unsolder the contacts of the old battery and solder the contacts of the new one.
You must buy a battery with soldering tabs, because tabs are very hard to solder well.-Yes, ONLY with this model You may use a NiMh battery, because the original charge-circuit was designed to stop after the battery is fully charged. (NOT many NiCd battery chargers have a cut-off circuit based on battery charge. they use only thermic protection cut-off)--I've used 2800mAh NiMh to solve the problem, but I'm thinking to use the new hybrid cells battery, because they have a very small discharge rate when are not in use.--No, You must not use LiIon or LiPo because they need a more precise charging rate and they may explode.Simply don't do that! ;-) cheers,Rcatech
The green light only comes on when it is receiving an audio signal.
Standard batteries will work.. if you NEVER use the charging station.. and plan on replacing them every x number of hours used.. IMPORTANT.. if you forget.. and place the headset on the charging station with standard batteries.. they will probably rupture.. and may well ruin the headset..
If you decide to replace the chargable batteries.. make sure you replace them with the right size and type..
Hello Rachel,
I use my QC3 for 2.5 years Mon-Fri for 3 hours a day. I have the same problem when battery is weak and/or it is cold outside. The cracking nose stops for me if battery fully charged. This is known problem andBose put it in the manual.

The batteries are soldered to the circuit board with solder tabs. These are not standard chargeable batteries that can be bought at the corner hardware store. The are Lithium Oxide based batteries with solder tabs. These should be replaced by an experienced tech. The replacement batteries must be to spec of the original ones. There is the current rating and voltage rating of the batteries to matched.
Because these chargeable batteries can put out a strong amount of current, if they are not installed properly, there can be safety issues.
Call Philips tech support to be advised about where you can take the shaver to have the batteries changed.
