So the power light on the LG tv is blinking yellow real fast but the tv turns and stays on...is it just a warning or what?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty

My Altec Lansing iMT810 Digital Boombox doesn't turn on (plugged in) when I press the power button. How do I make work again??

It is likely an issue with the power connector to the adapter. Apparently they had a bad design and several people (myself included) have experienced a failure with the connector which I understand is directly soldered to a circuit board. If you pull the cord and it runs on batteries that is almost assuredly your problem. If its under their 12 month warranty, they will fix/replace. If its after - you are screwed since they don't repair their own devices (for a fee or for free). I am fighting them currently on mine who's connector broke in 13 months of light use. FYI - I tried to take the unit apart and could not get access to the adapter/circuit with either the front off or the battery compartment removed so I couldn't repair myself. Good luck...

When i put ma ps3 on it goes green yellow red

Hi,
I experienced the same issume before. This is called Yellow Light of Death or (YLOD)
Please see below on some information regarding this issue and some possible reslotion to prevent this from happening:
If we go by Sony's definition then having PS3 YLOD means "general hardware failure". So it means that a fault could have occurred anywhere in your Console. Don't be afraid though, since most of the times PS3 YLOD is due to motherboard getting detached.
Tips on how to fix it:

Alternatively you can try to repair ps3 YLOD yourself. There are a couple of things you can try to fix YLOD - check for any loose connections since some connections might be loose, you can also try switching it off for around 30 mins and switch it on again. This will help in cooling your PS3 down.

If these tricks don't work, then I will suggest you go through a dedicated PS3 repair guide instead of tinkering on your own. Such guide will cost you almost nothing in comparison to what Sony charges. And, god forbid, if it happens again you can solve the problem for free.

One of the greatest thing about doing it yourself is that you don't have to pay hefty charges to the big companies. Also, you don't have to wait for weeks, you'll completely fix ps3 ylod in no more than a few hours. Many people have already successfully fixed yellow light of death and I don't see a reason why you won't be able to do it. If my PS3 has yellow light of death then I won't pay Sony to repair my PS3. I'd rather fix PS3 lights myself.

If all this steps wont work i suggest to call SONY

My PlayStation 3 turned off on its own last week while I was in the middle of playing a game. I went to turn it back on and after the green light came on, it stayed on for about 3-5 seconds before it...

Unfortunately what you are describing is known as the Yellow Light of Death (YLOD). This indicates a general hardware failure normally due to overheating. When these PS3's were produced Sony decided to use lead free solder. The problem with lead free solder is that it is not as flexible as leaded solder but it is cheaper and more environmentally friendly. When the console gets hot and cools down hairline cracks appear within these solder joints and a good electrical contact cannot be made. This then causes the console to fail. It could be on a number of different components including the CPU, GPU or memory. There is a temporary cure that may or may not work but ultimately the console will need to be repaired professionally or replaced. If it is out of warranty Sony will not replace it but will offer a refurbished unit for around £130. If you look on Youtube for Yellow light of death fix there is a way that you can re-heat the solder joints using a heat gun but if you are not confident taking apart electrical items then this really may not be something you want to try.

I am sorry I cant give you any better news but unfortunately it is a very common problem with the PS3

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

Certain DVDs cause my PS3 to shut off and blinking red light

The yellow light is also know as the yellow light of death casued by a hardware failure. It can be casued ny over heating a bluray drive failure, a hard drive failure or even a powersupply failure. You know you have it when you power up the yellow light flashes then you hear some beeps then the red llight flashes. I would suggest returning it if you have that option or getting it fixed somewhere else as a last option.

If you think the **** player is causing the problem remove it and see if it turns on if not you could try another one and see if it works.

Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 standby light blinking

I just worked on this last week 13 blinks means there is a problem with the backlights. So it can be 1 of 2 things bad inverter board( which costs less than $200) or the panel in which case you can thow the TV away as it will probably cost as much for a new TV.Unfortunately the set I worked on ended up being panel. If you try the inverter board just take your time removing it its plugged in rather tight I gently tapped it out with a screwdriver to get it started.

Mitsubishi Projection TV model WS-65513

Good Day;
The continues blinking 99.9 % of the time is four caps on your DM board. The caps are C9B01,C9B02,C9B10 and C9B11 they use 1000UHF the upgrade caps are 680 UHF- 35V. The board is on the very left hand side (from back).
I have performed this repair at least 50 times and it takes me still about 1.5 hours. If you are not handy and do not have a solder station, I would recommend that you call a factory authorized service dealer to perform this repair. With service call and ect. it will cost you around $550.00 and the repair can be done in the home, of course prices varies across the country.
Good Luck, Day, Big Irish.
