stick the belt pulley in the holes closest to the motor. if you have a belt pulley like this. get the belt and hold it together so you have a loop at the end and run under the pulley so the pulley lifts up and put the belt on the motor shaft. the belt always goes under the pulley so you are lifting upwards

If your dryer belt has ribs on one side you would think the ribs would go face down on the drum. try it with the ribs up and the smooth side down on the drum. If you can figure out the belt route and it doesn't look right due to the ribs then the cure for that is flip the belt over. Good Luck
