You ps3 has "Yellow light of death". Good news it can be fixed
If you are handy with tool and have the gut to open the ps3 and do some tweaks you can do it on you own. You can craigslist it to find a shop that will fix it for you. they usually charge $35

it seems to me like you have the yellow light of death, but don't worry this is something that can be fixed.
You have two options here
Option1 you can send the console to SONY for $150, they will send you a refurbished model oh and all data may be lost. The whole process usually takes about 4-6 weeks.
Option 2You can fix the problem at home with a PS3 repair guide worth only $40 a 3rd of the cost of sony, the ps3 will be fixed within the next hour or 2.

This is the yellow light of death i got it some time ago and had to buy a new ps3 there is a way to fix it but i costs more than a new ps3 i had to buy a new one so your screw lol.

u have a 60G ps3 i had the same problem it's a design fault phone sony and they will replace with new ps3 mine comes 2morrow
