you might get a clicking noise from the brushes but it wont be loud ( its metal on metal sound ) but bearings will sound like an aeroplane taking off ( very loud )
hi,i don't advise this...the fluid used is normally a semi fluid grease , however reassembly must be done correctly otherwise you could do some real damage, if there is a click on a complete resolution then i would say a bearing is worn, the worm gear that driven from the motor will be worn and that could be making the click as well but as long as it not slipping and excessively noisy i would leave it alone, the motor also has a bearing that can become noisy ... one thing to note is so you find a worn or damage gear, what are you going to do ?? unless you know someone who can recreate another one ?
if it is noisy the noise could be the sum of all the gears noise so replacing just one gear wouldn't be enough
Usually four items are changed. The two bearings , the seal, and the shaft. When you did your first repair the shaft should have been replaced. The reason the noise continues is that the shaft wobble even as minor as it may be ends up beating the new bearings to where they start making noise again. The new kits are better designed and can be found for under 100.00 dollars. Shop around for the best price. Good Luck Friend.
Noisy motor indicates bearings on the shaft are going bad. This happens when you have a shaft seal leak and the leaking water is getting to the bearings. Sounds like you need to replace shaft seal and set of shaft bearings. Easy fix is to replace the motor only for about $150.00 for motor replacement. Around $40.00 for seal and bearings and some of your time.
Most likely it is the RH front wheel bearings. CV Joints don't usually make any noise until you turn a rather sharp corner. I would advise you to replace the bearings and seals in both front wheels if the bearings are in fact noisy. Jack up the front and spin each wheel, you'll soon hear the sound of rumbling bearings.
time to replace the belt , might need a tub bearing too / tentioner pully might have froze . remove the back panel with the washer unpluged look to see if the tentioner is at its fullest possition if so replace the belt .
The noise coming from this machine as it spins is due to --If the tub seal lets go water will weep into the tub bearing. This will rust the basket shaft and normally wreck the tub bearing. Once the bearings starts to get worn enough it usually gets very noisy. The tub bearing is pressed onto the outer back half of the tub shell assembly. Normally need to replace the inner basket/shaft assembly and the outer shell with the tub bearing. Sometimes the inner basket support will crack, this can give an clicking or banging noise as well.
Pictures of this job... A sure indication was the brown junk/gookus leaking out if the rear bearing area and the belt has spewed it around in the drum that the rear bearing and seal was bad... Picture1 - Picture2 The whole outer shell and basket come out to do this repair....what bad bearing and rusted shaft looked like... Picture1 - Picture2 - Picture3 I had to remove the back panel. Undo the pump hose & water level hose, remove the 2 shocks, remove the motor, undo the front boot from the outer panel and remove the 2 springs to lift the whole assembly out from the back to work on it.
