Changed door switch on my kenmore h2 plus cause of error code and it still wont work

Yes it is the Door Switch, or its wiring and where is terminates on the control board. Of the board is faulty.

irst to unlock depending on model. There will be a pull tab either under the lower kick panel, behind the filter cover, or under the top panel. Pull this tab to unlock the door. Now you can remove the clothes and water. Refer to the owners manual for the location of your emergency door pull tab.

Door Switch
You will need to remove the door switch to check it. You will perform an ohm reading on the bottom terminals. The reading varies from manufacturers most Frigidaires is around 1500 ohms others like the whirlpool duet is checked at the main control board with the door closed should be around zero ohms. You will need to refer to the tech sheet or service manual for the proper reading.

Main Control Module / CCU
The main control unit is the circuit board located behind the console. If the door switch tests good the main control is usually the problem. Check all connections for a goood tight fit. You will need to refer to the tech sheet or service manual to check this further. The main control is easy to replace.

The error code F28 means one or both of these parts are bad.
Motor Control Unit (8540135)
Microcomputer Machine Control Unit (8540788)
It would be a good idea to order both, as both components have been problematic for error code F28

If you find either the MCU or the CCU(Microcomputer Machine Control Unit) fixed it.

DOOR SWITCH ERROR

If the door has not been opened for 3 consecutive cycles or the door switch is open while the door is locked for more than 5 seconds.

Possible Causes/Procedure

-Door not opened during 3 consecutive cycles.

1. Open and close the door.
2. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.

F-26, is a door lock switch error code. Some things to try; Unplug the washer for 1 minute and see if the error clears. If not, try entering the diag mode by pressing any key except pause/ cancel. Press for 4 seconds and release for 4 seconds 4 times. If entered correctly, all lights should light and the first error should appear. Press the same key to advance through all the errors. When the errors finish. It will start an automatic test mode that tests all componets. The first thing it will test is the door lock. If this fails you more than likley have a door switch problem. The door may not have been fully closed. stop/clear cancel the cycle. ensure door is fully closed and attempt to resart cycle.

F/dL Door Lock Error
A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be unlocked. It will try to lock it 6 times before displaying the error.
