Someone took the top off the freezer and lost the screws. Any idea what kind and size I would need? Called the company and they don't know!

I am in Canada and 'Nova Scotia' should be a Canadian brand but I don't know it (I am in Toronto). The model number also appears to be assigned to a company called 'Norfrost'. There are universal seals by size, or you can make your own.

Try small cable ties if they sit on pegs sticking out you can then cut the ties for removal.

Usually you can access a service panel to where the fan and evaporation department is.
I don't know about a wood but I did work on an upright not long a go and took some pics.


See the drain hole below the fan on the floor there?
Thats what ya gotta clear. I use a shop vac myself but I let the freezer thaw all the way out , you could use a hair dryer to melt the ice.

My 6 qt electric was making noise and finally quit spinning. I pulled it apart and the change gear (gear reducer) was wallowed out. This meant the gear rocked away from the motor's drive gear. I called White Mountain to see if I could get a replacement gear and they said I'd voided the warranty because I took the 3 screws out to pull apart. Basically, they are using **** gears, know it, and doing the song and dance to not have to replace. So, I've got a motor that works, housing, and one bad gear that makes the whole unit worthless.

Call your nearest refrigeration company.They can order it from a company called Case,Even if it is not available as a woods part.Case can make you one if they know the size and the configuration

Your tech doesn't have the issue completely fixed. You have a defrost issue and defrosting manually is just the start to resolving your issue. You have to diagnose why it fails to defrost. You have a heater, control thermostat,frost sensor, etc. to check for a failure after defrosting it. Get someone that knows how to complete the job right!

its a stubby nut driver,but if she can get someone to lift it and the screw legs arnt too dirty,you can screw them in or out by hand too

You definitely need a tech. Since your power outage you may have a problem with your compressor which when there is a power outage can damage the compressor from what is called a brown out. A brown out happens just before the power goes out and because of low voltage to the compressor can burn the windings causing it to either burn out or become very noisy. CALL someone soon and I wouldn't tell them about the power outage as they may not fix it under warranty. If for some reason they find out sometimes the power company will pick up the tab. Good luck.
