A kindle doesn't use bluetooth, it uses WiFi. They are two different things. In order to use WiFi you need a wireless router. If you are having trouble connecting to a wireless router make sure you enter the password in your kindle in the correct case since the passwords are case sensitive.

Kindle is running slow. How to fix?

If your Kindle is running slow, here are a few things you can try to fix it:
  1. Restart your Kindle: This is one of the easiest and most effective ways to fix any performance issues. Simply press and hold the power button for 20 seconds until the device turns off, then turn it back on.
  2. Remove any unnecessary content: If you have too much content on your Kindle, it can slow down the device. Remove any books or files that you don't need.
  3. Clear cache and data: Clearing the cache and data can help to speed up your Kindle. To do this, go to "Settings" > "Storage" > "Cached Data" and tap on "Clear Cached Data."
  4. Update the software: Make sure that your Kindle is running the latest software version. To check for updates, go to "Settings" > "Device Options" > "System Updates."
  5. Disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: If you're not using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, turning them off can help to improve performance.
  6. Reset your Kindle to factory settings: If none of the above solutions work, you can try resetting your Kindle to factory settings. To do this, go to "Settings" > "Device Options" > "Reset to Factory Defaults."
Keep in mind that some older Kindle models may experience performance issues due to hardware limitations. In that case, upgrading to a newer model might be the best solution.

When screen opens it suddenly starts asking for a password. I have never used a password, don't have one and cannot unlock my Kindle Fire HD

Give enter to password, in blank, withoul inputting anything. Maybe it accepts it as password.
The other possiblity is that you've been pranked and someone defined a password

Here you have a tutorial for Password Remove:

Chances are you will need to do a factory reset on the unit. This mean reinstalling all your apps again. I have also seen issues with having the auto update turned on. I would suggest turning this off and updating apps manually. Here is a list of factory resets for all different kindle models. Good Luck.

Where is reset button in a kindle

Hold down the 'on' switch for 20 seconds. The Kindle will reboot - you will not lose anything on your Kindle.

If you need to reset it to factory default (which will remove ALL content) then:

  1. From Home, press the Menu button, and then select Settings.
  2. In Settings, press the Menu button again, and then select Reset to Factory Defaults. Your device will power off and power back on.

Amazon kindle suport web page

If I understand you correctly, you have a new Kindle Fire HD and would like to transfer the data from your old Kindle Fire to your new Kindle Fire HD. This is easy, follow these steps:
Step 1: Connect the old Kindle to Wireless. Pull down the upper status bar, select More + and then select My Account on the old Kindle
Step 2: Using the Old Kindle, select Deregister under My Account, let the task complete
Step 3: When the old Kindle has Deregistered, then pickup the new Kindle. If you accidentally registered this Kindle Deregister it and then Factory Reset the device.
Step 4: Now the old Kindle is Deregistered and the new Kindle is factory Fresh, let's begin the process.
Step 5: On the new Kindle, let's reboot after Factory Resetting the device. When the device powers back up you should be presented with a login Window. Go ahead and register the device to the same account as the Old Kindle. The sync process should begin automaticlly, it can take up to one full day to sync all your content.

I have a store demo 8.9 kindle fire hd. How do i get wipe it and/or root so i can use it as a regular tablet

The Demo Kindle Fire Model Number 3HT7G is completely locked down. It is not possible to remove the Demo, reset the Kindle or Flash new Firmware using a Backup and Restore Utility like Kindle Fire First Aide. The Development Team of Kindle Fire First Aide is working on a procedure to reset these Kindles but the procedure will involve opening the Kindle which Voids the Warranty. Until we develop this procedure you are locked out. Sorry, I wish I had better news. Best regards, Chris Bryant - Prokennexusa at XDA Developers

Cant get WiFi conection keeps asking for password cannot remember it

Try resetting the router back to factory default, and set up again with a new password. What make and model of router are you using? Just ran into this issue with neighbors 2 new Kindles, which connect fine to my NetGear router, but will not connect to their Linksys WRT54GS router.
