Installing a new SD card is as simple as pulling the old one out and sliding the new one in. You may need to "format" the new card, using the camera's menus.

Did you try to format the card? Check the capacity and class of your new card. Your camera manual will tell you what size card and class to use. Older cameras may not support large capacity sd cards. The class has to do with transfer speed from camera to your sad card.
Remove SD card, connect to PC using a card reader (and adapter if needed), copy files to PC. Connect a larger capacity SD card to PC, copy files from PC to new, larger SD card, install new SD card in phone.
Connect phone to PC with USB cable, then do same process as above.
Back up phone to Google, Samsung, or other cloud resource. Replace SD card with larger one. Restore phone from cloud.
Sounds like the data on your SD card is corrupt. If you know somebody else with the same unit and model try their SD card. If not them you are most like going to have to buy a new SD card and install the maps and operating system onto the new card. Should be instructions on you install Cd assuming you have them.
This camera was manufactured before the SDHC protocol was developed for SD cards. A 'standard' SD card protocol is 2GB maximum, and that is what the camera is compatible with. I'm pretty sure the cards you are trying to use say SDHC on them, right?
The SD card may have to be reformated. You should do this in the camera you want to use the SD card with. Do not format the card with your computer.
In you manual or on the menu of your camera there is a "Format" procedure. follow that and your camera will work again (REMEMBER) if you have images on the SD card down load them before you format the card.
Once you down load the images from your camera you should reformat the card to clear it in order to shoot more images.
Try purchasing a new SD memory card (brand name) and installing the files there. Sometimes the manufacture sends cheap SD cards and the data is easily lost in damaged or poorly made SD cards. I have a EVESHAM 2007 and installed the files from the original CDto a new SD card and solved freezing and other problems resulting from poor data transmission from the cheap SD.
Also, try going online to the manufactureer's web site to see if they have downloads/ updates available there to replace the origianl install files that came with the unit. Always put on new brand new SD card.
this problem bugged me for weeks!!
finally figured it out today
download the sd card reader drivers from toshiba (not a 3rd party site)
boot into safe mode
delete all the sd card reader drivers currently installed
install the downloaded driver
reboot into normal mode
let the computer go about its business installing the driver, then it should work.
cheers,
thomas..
