White screen My LG 32LD350 suddenly stopped to work, frozen/static picture and brighness goes slowly down to fade.Sound OK. Turned it off, ON again, screen from black when off becomes grey (backlight) with sound. Then screen becomes brighter and brighter to white in aprox. 1 min., pretty bright, with some light grey vertical shadows strips.No picture from cable or other video source, no TV Menu or any other TV features, just sound with white screen.

Hi, I have a Samsung LN40A550 LCD TV which I have had for just over a year. ... Sounds like you have a backlight problem. To verify this, turn on the set, dim the lights in the room, and shine a bright flashlight on the screen. If you see a faint picture you have a backlight fault. It could be as simple as a bad capacitor in the power supply, or a faulty inverter board, or in rare cases a bad backlamp.

It has been permanantly damaged, and is not repairable. To get it work perfectly, you have to replace the screen. OK.

there are many reason why a monitor suddenly turned off then back to work again , over use may over heat that cause the soled parts on the printed board of your CRT go loosen , try to re sold it, sometimes your PC might stop viewing so the monitor automatically shot off stby mode , loose connection due to basted parts , capacitors,power regulators,resistors , even the cables also might be.

You need to replace backlight inverter.

open the monitor there is a movable preset attached to EHT rotate that preset by screwdriver in active on condition of monitor reduce the brightness to satisfactory level
