I've been given a digital camera without a charger. The local photo shop wants a small fortune for a charger. Is there another way to charge the small Lithium Ion battery?

I believe charging Lithium Ion batteries is risky. It is almost impossible to connect wires from any sort of charger to the battery terminals. Does anyone have any bright ideas?

Check out cheaper chargers on Ebay - safer than trying DIY methods.

Testimonial: "Thank you for your suggestion. I'll see what is on offer on E-bay, but I'm in South Africa and it might be tricky buying something from the USA or other far-away country."

I understand your apprehension, but I am in the UK and have obtained goods from as far away as China with no problems. Ebay do have a resilient customer protection service as well. Good luck. Tony

How can I charge Pamasonic DMC FS16 camera without having the charger with me. I'm on holiday and left my charger at home. I hoped the battery would last for a week,. A bit disappointed.

You can try plugging in the usb cable to your laptop, or any usb port really but the documentation is unclear whether that will actually charge the battery.

Really the only other really viable option is to find a camera shop, walgreens or tech store that could possibly carry the charger, or at least a spare battery.

How do you charge ixus 9515

You can't charge a battery without a battery charger of some sort. You can order a Canon charger through your local Canon dealer, or order a third-party charger here.

hi It is hard to tell with your description. Any bumping or impact? At this point you have to bring near local repair shop. They might charge you around $35 to 85 depend on what they really want to charge. How ever you can check basic thing in your home. (if you have multimeter, you can check battery and charger unit are good or not, ) thanks and best regard!

Why won't my computer charge me nikon s202 camera

The S202 does not include any charging circuitry. The computer connection is solely for transferring your photos and videos, not for charging the battery. You should have received an MH-63 battery charger with your camera, use this to charge the battery.

If you need a charger, you can order one from Nikon at
http://shop.nikonusa.com/store/nikonusa/en_US/pd/productID.213504100
or a third-party charger from

Does not hold a charge

Hello. When a camera will not hold a charge you must replace the rechargeable battery. Take your camera into a local camera shop along with the charger and have them test both the battery and the charger. This is generally a free service. Joe

the cameras rechargeable battwery is worn out, so it will no longer hold a charge, open the battery compartment door, and remove the battery, then copy the information on the battery and purchace a new one that is identical to the old one at a specialist battery store, or off of the internet, then connect the new battery to the camera and charge it
