My dell insprion 1525 powers up but can't log on to user account

heres directions on resetting in safe mode if the battery fails

Hold F8 as the computer boots before the os boots and then select Safe Mode option (not the others) The computer will boot up from here, but there should be an additional "Administrator" account. Log in to this account (There shouldn't be a password, but if there is, try "admin") and navigate to the User account panel in control panel. From there, select your account name, and select the "Remove Password" option

1. Administrator is the top user and should have access to all user files, but try Start > Log Off (current user). Then login with desired user.
2. You can also Manage Users by clicking on user icon at top of start menu, or going to Control Panel > User Accounts. This is where you would manage / verify users and type of account (guest). Must be administrator!
3. Then there is the rights option (right click file> Security), but only use if you can't login with other account. This option is risky. Again you have to the administrator or owner.
   

If you know the current password then just log on and when it boots up go into the User Accounts under the Control Panel. You can change the password by selecting the user you want to change.

Click Start/Control Panel or Start/Settings/Control Panel and look for User Accounts.

is it he Admin password? what operating system is it?

If you are using the Dell Webcam then i know what's wrong. Go to the Dell Webcam Consol click effects. If "Enable Audio Affects" box is checked then uncheck it. This takes away the audio affect you are hearing in speakers.

Please can you try the following

1) Power in laptop
2) Continuously press the F8 key until a advanced startup menu is seen
3) Choose safe mdoe
4) Try CD in safe mode and see if it works

Boot into safe mode by tapping on F8 key few sec you turn your pc on, and from advanced options, select safe mode and enter twice then log on as administrator. Go to control panel and user account to create a new profile

need to use the arrow keys ,and after enter

try to start in in safe mode
before it picks up on the operating system
press f7 or f8 a few times
sounds like the wrong display setting is set.

If the laptop is locked by that user, just power down the laptop by holding down the power button for 6 seconds, it will shut down.

If not, just log that user off and have someone else login.

You could also switch users instead of log off.
