My mother in law can't hear the caller but I can hear her! She can't hear me
SOURCE: I can't hear caller unless speaker phone is on.
the speaker is in miscontact ..... if you are good at opening the handset then just open it and reconnect the apeaker correctly ...
if problem persists then try changing your speaker.....
remember i am not speaking about the loud speaker ....

flip your phone open,look at your display screen if the speaker icon has a slash on it the speaker is muted.flip your phone closed on the top of the phone depress the left button,you must have hit it accidentally.hope that helps you. I have the same phone and that happens alot.

im a cell rep, delt with this problem before, take the back off the phone there is a white dot somewhere on there, if it's red it has water damage. if it's not your speaker for normal calling is broke, that's why you can only hear it on speakerphone and bluetooth, usually caused by water damage. there are cell phone repair shops, if you want do a search for one near you, they charge to fix the phone, but i have sent my customers there before and had their phones fixed. if it annoys you to much and you dont want to deal with it, if you have insurace i would file a claim, if not buy a phone from a friend or off craigslist or ebay, cheaper. hope i helped
