Dear All....is it possible to uninstall the standard version of Nokia Messaging, found on the E72 and replace it with the version found on the E71.
I'm annoyed that Nokia have chosen not to fully support automatic HTML download of emails. As a previous E71 user, i am aware that the version found on that handset does support automatic HTML download of emails.
I have managed to download the E71's version as a sis file how ever the E72 will not install it as the version found on the E72 cannot be uninstalled by the installation software.
www_dawood25 , you can download and install below software to your pc so that you can update your E72 when connected. Minimum is that you either download Ovi suite or PC suite:

Please try a Hard Reset on your Nokia E72-1 before you try for the next firmware update.Please follow the steps below to perform the Hard reset.
1. Turn OFF your mobile phone. 2. Hold the buttons *, 3 and call button (Green) and turn the phone ON. 3. Never release the buttons until the Nokia logo is displayed ( approximately 10 - 20 seconds ). 4. You will be prompted to adjust the Time, Date and Country when successfully reset.
Now connect your phone with your computer and launch the Nokia Software Updater and upgrade your firmware.Please make sure that your broadband internet connection is active and uninterrupted during update.

that is software update problem try to connect it to pc & try to update one more time it may get up date but while update it may get restart 2 to 3 times if it says that update failed then you should Visite your Nearest Nokia Service Center (Nokia Care) They will update your Software or Renew your Software.

If that fails try a different handset and see if it's a handset fault thanks for the vote
There's no shortcut or a dedicated key to type _ in Nokia E72, you have to press "*" (star) and select it. When you press star while entering the texts, you'll see the available special characters. Use left-right and up-down key to locate and press "Ok" to select it (it will be entered automatically on the position where the cursor is located/placed).
