The unit still works, but some of the buttons no longer respond. Spin, off, water temp, and a few others don't work.
If your u it has a touchpad, the keys are worn out and the touchpad will have be replaced.

when you push the button to select the options that arent working do the lights at the selected option come on? if they do not then you need a new control panel they will cost you approx 100$ to sell it as is you would be lucky to get rid of it, they only last for 7 or eight years max anyway before the outer tub bearing fails.

It could be the motor control board not telling the motor to switch to its highest speed, but it could also be control board not telling the motor control board to activate, but it could also be in the timing circuit. What other indications are you getting? Take a look at the wiring diagrams for this machine on the referenced site.
