I just need to know what fuses are what to a 1996 pontiac boneville. i need a description please.

there is one under the hood, under the drivers side dash and another on the passenger side under the dash. you have to remove the bottom cover on the passenger side fuse location should be on the cover you removed. Turn off your car before you work on replacing any fuses. Find the main fuse box by looking under the hood in the engine compartment
Lift the cover of the fuse box to expose the fuses. Look at the cover to find the location of each fuse housed there. As an example, the Bonneville headlight fuses are found in slots 5 and 6.Remove the fuse and check the middle wire. The fuse is blown if the wire is melted or broken

  • 2 Lift the cover of the fuse box to expose the fuses. Look at the cover to find the location of each fuse housed there. As an example, the Bonneville headlight fuses are found in slots 5 and 6.
  • 3 Remove the fuse and check the middle wire. The fuse is blown if the wire is melted or broken.
  • 4 Find a new fuse with the same amperage rating as the one you just took out. The headlights referenced in Step 2's example, each use a 40 amp maxi fuse, a high current fuse.
  • 5 Click the new fuse into place and shut the fuse box cover. Check the functionality of the new fuse once you restart the Bonneville.

Frigidaire dryer gallery series GLEQ942CS0 2004, where is the thermister located, I need a picture, I have replacement part # Electrolux134587700 but I do not see anything like it from a top view inside...

The thermistor or control thermistor is located on the blower housing at the right side of the dryer base. It can only be accessed when the front panel is removed. Disconnect power and remove the top panel then the control panel to expose the screws securing the front panel to the cabinet. Once the securing screws are off, disconnect the wire harnesses going to the front panel then lean the panel forward and lift it off the bottom clips.

Freezer is slowly getting warmer - water dispenser won't dispense (occasionally) turbo cool won't work

Open freezer door and look for any frost on the back wall inside the freezer. That would indicate a defrost problem.
Disconnect power to refrig. Unload freezer, Remove shelves and back panel inside freezer. Melt frost with a hair blower. Replace defrost heater located at the bottom of the heating coils. (Note: It may look different than the original, but insturctions enclosed with replacement cover that) Might as well replace the evaporator thermister at the same time, as your problem is about 98% of the time one or the other of those parts. The thermister is a white pencil shapped item, about an inch long, located cliped to the top of the cooling coils you just defrosted.
If you don't have the parts on hand, defrosting only will get your refrig working again for several days, while you obtain the parts.
Note: non-water dispensing is the result of the cold air from the freezer not being able to continue over the frost blocked coils, so it migrates back though the return air vent in the bottom of the refrig, resulting in a frozen water line, and often freezing in the bottom bin of the refrig.

Our LG LFX25950SB has been freezing all the food in the refer since we purchased it 3 years ago. Had numerous service calls. They tell us we are leaving the door open, we do not have the correct...

Contact LG @ 1 800-243-0000 and let them know what is going on.
This is a known problem and a fix is availiable.

    LG may help you out.

Call M-F for the american call center to answer.

If they wont you can fix it real easy.
    Pull out bottom crisper dware.
    Look on the back wall.
You will see a dime sized hole.
This hole allows cold air from the freezer to cool the crispers.
Cover the hole with a small piece of duct tape.
This should stop the crispers from freezing.

Also on the right wall of the ref. you will see 1 or 2 egg shapped white covers.
Remove the covers carefully so you dont break it.
You will see a 1" white thermister probe.
Pull the probe out of the insulation and clip it on the egg shaped cover and reinstall the cover.

The thermister tells the computer how cold the ref. is.

The ice dispenser chute sticks open allowing warm air into the freezer. Once the chute sticks open, you have to reset it manually but sticking your hand into the ice chute in the door.

There is a solenoid that operates the door that could have stopped working. Can you hear it?
The hinge on the door could be broken or the bracket it goes in could be broken. You'll have to look to see what's wrong.

Remove the dispenser cover by gently prying starting at the bottom going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it. When it's off the screws will be exposed to access the other components.

Thetford caravan fridge freezes all food in fridge does anyone else have this problem / what can be done? Not sure of actual model but on manual says N80 - N150

Thats a Norcold compact fridge. The most likley problem would be the thermister. Need to do an ohms reading. From inside of the fridge remone the thermister from the fins and unplug the wires. With a VOM set it on Ohms, touch the wires with the probes/ does not matter which probe to wire/ hold the bulb end of the thermister between your fingers, your reading should stat at about 7000 Ohms. Stick the bulb end of the thermister in a glass of ice water, reading should start climbing and go to about 22000 Ohms. If this happens the thermister is good and you need to look elsewhere. If it does not test out you need to replace the thermister. The thermister is a thermostat that controls the heat source that makes the fridge cool. If the thermister reads good you may want to get the circuit board tested.
    Hope this helps

    Kitchenaid K5A doesn't turn on

i have had the same problem.Chances are that the thermister has burnt out. This is not a major problem. You can get the part at radio shack for about $1. All you need is a little screwdriver and about 10 minutes and it will be fixed. The thermister is a silver (fuse) that is located on the back of the motor the other side goes to the speed control board. Radio shack sells this thermister in a two pack put one in and tape the other in the cover for the next time this happens. The thermister should be 120v @ either 135 degrees or anything around 150 degrees. The thermister is an overheat limiter that prevents the motor from burning out.
