SOURCE: Kenmore refrig not making ice and top shelf area in refrig not cold

if you are having tempurature issues make sure the fan in the freezer is operating. it should be on when the compresor is running. this may explain both warm fridge and no ice.

SOURCE: Kenmore Side by Side Refrigerator Ice Maker Not Working

A couple things to check here. First see if there is ice in the tray. If so chances are the ice maker will need to be replaced however these are very reliable ice makers. If no ice in the tray pull up on the ejector blade (don't worry you won't break it) turn clockwise to start the ice maker thru a cycle. The ejector blade is the long white bar with fingers on it that run the length of the tray. Once it completes a cycle it should fill with water. If no water then either the fill tube is frozen over and will need to be defrosted or the water valve is bad.

SOURCE: I have a Kenmore side

Most of the time the bin has been removed and not put back in properly. When this happens ice blocks the drive motor. Remove the bin and turn the auger by hand make sure it will turn and is not jammed. Now with the bin out push the light button in that turns the light out and have someone push the button for ice while the door is still open the motor should turn in the back make sure thereis no ice blocking it. If it turns nothing is wrong with the motor. The clicking sound is usually the motor jammed by ice or the auger not engaged on the motor. hope this helps good luck

HAVE A KENMORE FRIDGE M.#106.74253400 WATER DESPENSOR STOPPED WORKING AN CAN HEAR IT HUMMING AN ALSO THE ICE MAKER WORKS SO I NO ITS GETTING WATER? THANKS

my kenmore did the same thing, It had a duel water solenoid on it and one that let water into the door water dispenser went bad. also my ice cube started to get smaller, the rubber in the other side of the water solenoid was dry rotting and eventually ruined the ice maker. I replaced the duel solenoid and ice maker and had no more problems. The solenoid is on the back of the fridge, it is what the main water supply connects to.

Last night, I connected an active water line to the back of my Kenmore side by side. The ice maker is making ice but water water and ice is not coming out of the dispencer. There is another water jug...

You have a dual water inlet valve where your water supply connects. One goes to the ice maker and the other goes to the water dispenser by way of the water reservoir you mentioned in the fridge.

Open the door and hold the door switch down and try the ice dispenser. Do you hear any thing. You should hear the ice door open and the augur motor turning to turn the augur which pushes the ice out the door. If the augur doesn't turn Take all the ice out of the bin and try. perhaps the motor is too weak or the augur is locked up. Take the bin out and try to see if the motor will turn with no load. The motor is behind the back cover where the bin sits. See if you get power to it using a voltmeter when you try the dispenser. If you are, probably bad motor. If not ,dispenser switch or solenoid is not working.

Water dispenser quit.ice maker works fine you can hear motor hum when pressing water dispenser button

You should not hear the noise of a motor unless you are trying to dispense ice. Is that the case your ice dispensor is not working?

What can I do to solve it?

Hi,

If the system does not get cold at all and you do hear the motor, then you should look for a gas leak. make sure the motor doesn't run for long. It could also be the the motor has sized. This will result in hearing the motor but the unit does not pump any gas.
Call a refrigeration tech and let him have a look. Make sure that the controlling part of the fridge/freezer is also working

Problem with ice maker

With your limited input , all I can do is suggest some things for you to try..
First off, are you sure you have water coming to the back of the fridge? No water, no ice. Secondly, Can you gain access to the ice tray inside the ice maker to see if it is frozen with excess water ? If it is, you may need to thaw it out to free it up to allow it to cycle. If no ice buildup is found....
Can you tell if the icemaker is actually cycling? If you listen, you can here the inlet valve open to let water in and then you should hear the motor that rotates the mold tray operate ( may take between 10 - 20 minutes so be patient) If you don't hear any motor activity duing this time.... You may have a defectice ice maker assembly and may need to replace it. Hope that helps...

Kenmore Refrigerator stopped dispensing water

Either your water tank in the fridge froze up, the waterline that goes up the freezer door from the bottom hinge froze, or the switch that your glass hits is damaged. Do you hear any humming or noises when you put your glass up to get water?
