Question about Samsung LN52C530 52" LCD TV

What do you think is wrong with my television, it has sound but no picture. How can I fix the problem?

The television comes it has sound but no it shows no picture. try changing input or source

I would go to menu on the remote , from there to picture go down the list, if you do not find anything there to help you. Go to Support and to the E manual .

sounds like the flyback, (main power provider to the picture tube is shorting, 20,000 plus volts inside so don't go in there thinking you can fix it, it is toast, time for another set

The power comes on but the picture and sound wont come on

No matter what the brand or model, if it does not come on, something electrical or electronic has failed. The only person who can fix it is someone who understands how to and that endlessly pressing the "on" button of something that has failed, will never change a thing.
This is an exercise in mind control........I must face the fact that I will have to pay something to find out what is wrong and whether it is worth fixing, because not a soul on this earth can simply assume as to what the cause of the problem might be.

My Sony LCD KDF60A20 does the following. After it power ups the picture goes out then shortly the sound goes off. Then the picture comes back on then shortly after the sound comes back on. This repeats....

This is symptom of weak lamp that has reached at end of its life, replace lamp in tv to fix the problem.

sounds like the flyback which can cause a either a sqiealing or a wispy hissing noise.

I don't think I need to pay you so you can tell me that I need to have some one come in and repair this. It sounds like it neds a new relay and I don;t think you can fix this on line.

Picture comes in and out

you can fix this problem, your light bulb in the tv is on its last leg, and needs to be replaced, usually around $100-$200.

I dont think that TV has a bulb it uses CRT's

You cant get CRT's any more. Sounds like the capacitors in the power supply are week and are takign time to charge thats why it takes a while to get a picture.

This sounds similar to the same problem I had with my TV. I went out and purchased a new light thinking it was the source of the problem, but I was wrong. It turns out the color wheel and fan went bad and it cost roughly $575.00 for the parts and labor to fix it. My tv was the hlr6167w
