If it is still in warranty, it is better to send it for repair with canon or with the extended warranty company.
If it's not in warranty, then you have to send it for diagnostics and repair.
The reason for won't power on may be a number of reasons:
1. Damaged switch that senses when the battery door is closed (or a broken tab in the battery door that presses the switch);
2. Damaged switch that senses when the CF memory door is closed (or a broken tab in the memory door that presses the switch);
3. Defective DC/DC power board;
4. Defective main board
Diagnosctis and repair of this problem requires a repairman with skills and tools to do it properly.
Depending of what is broken and to whom you send your camera for repair, the repair cost may be in in the range of $100.00 - $200.00.
