Kindle is running slow. How to fix?

If your Kindle is running slow, here are a few things you can try to fix it:
  1. Restart your Kindle: This is one of the easiest and most effective ways to fix any performance issues. Simply press and hold the power button for 20 seconds until the device turns off, then turn it back on.
  2. Remove any unnecessary content: If you have too much content on your Kindle, it can slow down the device. Remove any books or files that you don't need.
  3. Clear cache and data: Clearing the cache and data can help to speed up your Kindle. To do this, go to "Settings" > "Storage" > "Cached Data" and tap on "Clear Cached Data."
  4. Update the software: Make sure that your Kindle is running the latest software version. To check for updates, go to "Settings" > "Device Options" > "System Updates."
  5. Disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: If you're not using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, turning them off can help to improve performance.
  6. Reset your Kindle to factory settings: If none of the above solutions work, you can try resetting your Kindle to factory settings. To do this, go to "Settings" > "Device Options" > "Reset to Factory Defaults."
Keep in mind that some older Kindle models may experience performance issues due to hardware limitations. In that case, upgrading to a newer model might be the best solution.

My Kindle screen is blank. When I try to turn it on, the green light goes on, then off, and the screen stays blank.

The best thing to do is contact amazon.com, place cursor on Your Account, click your account at top of list. on the right you should see Kindle Help Home; click it and it will bring up info about your kindle. On the far left in a box is CONTACT US. Fill out the form and choose how they should contact you. If you leave your phone they will call back and talk you through how to fix the problem. They may ask the return so they can work on it. Amazon help is always free. You only pay if you have to return it.

Why won't Kindle turn on or charge?

Maybe it's not completely off. Hold down the power button for at least 20 seconds. The hit it again to turn it back on.

If it's not charged, after doing that, you'll need to plug it in for at least 15 minutes.

You may have to do a factory restart. Try the things on this list and if all else fails and you have to perform a factory restart, this will show you how.

Kindle not working. It will not turn on blank screen

Make sure that the kindle is fully charged. When charging the kindle 3 will have a yellow light indicating that it is charging. When this turns green, your kindle is fully charged. Make sure your kindle is fully charged and then try turning it back on.

My kindle is frozen. I cannot reach my home page. I am stuck between the last thing I was reading and the kindle store and I cannot go anywhere else. It has been like this for 3 days.

Make sure that the kindle is fully charged. Plug your kindle into the wall charger, a yellow light will light up. When the yellow light turns green, your kindle is fully charged. Then try turning on your device. If the device still does not turn on, hold the power switch for 15 seconds, this will reboot the device.
