SOURCE: Samsung Refrigerator makes ice, but then quits.

I have this same thing happening, also. I have not been able to find a solution to this issue, however. The ejector blades push against the ice, apparently a gear pops loose with a loud clicking sound and the heater either does not work or never turns on. I end up killing the breaker to thr refrig,`removing the icemaker, letting it wrm up dumping the ice and putting it back in.

LG refrigerator not dumping ice.

I own a LG LFXS24566S and it was making ice but not dumping it.
If I pressed the reset button, it would dump the ice and fill the tray again but once frozen it would still not dump the ice. A technician was dispatched to replace the ice-maker but the problem remained. During the next visit, he had me "reboot" the refrigerator by removing power for five minutes, which fixed the issue.

My ice maker is not dumping the ice,,, I can press the reset button underneath the ice will fall out and the water will fill up the tray but it will stay there and never dump to allow other ice to make,,,...

It may be more helpful to know the Manufacturer and Model of the unit to understand what drives that mechanism.. When you hit the reset button, you are actually telling the unit to start over. The first thing it does on a restart is to make sure there is no ice in the maker so it dumps it. Knowing the make and model number would give a troubleshooter more information as to what may be causing the problem. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

Ice will dump and refill when hitting reset button, but wont dump an fill on its on

Hello Jamie;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

It sounds like your have a bad ice maker sensor. On the ice maker mold is a long white coated wire. This is a temperature sensor. The sensor tells the ice maker control module that the water in the mold is frozen and to harvest the ice cubes.

The flex mold ice maker that you have is not repairable.

Why will the ice not dump? I replaced the ice maker because it was not turning to dump the ice after the ice was frozen. Same problem with new ice maker. Reset button causes the ice tray to turn, dump...

Your ice maker is controlled by the main board. The ice maker has a sensor that tells the board what the mold temperature is. The first step is to make sure your ice maker is turned on. There is an "on/off" setting on your control panel. Look very closely at the glass depicted. Some models show ice cubes in a glass, others have the words ice off. It's difficult to tell without looking close. If your ice is on, a Samsung qualified tech should be called to check connections, and the board.

Ice maker has ice motor doen't dump the ice

Your ice-maker may need to be "hard-reset". To do this, perform a manual-defrost by emptying out the freezer (and fridge) and shutting all power off to your unit for several hours (at least half a day unless you can be sure the temp in the freezer has fully reached ambient. Next, with freezer empty, restore power, make sure the "ice" setting is set to off, then set the forced power-freeze mode (you can refill the fridge, but leave the freezer empty for now. When the power-freeze completes (at least 2.5 hours) you can refill the freezer, set the "ice" mode to block/crushed (IE something other than off) and then hit the "black reset button" to restart the ice-maker. IF it still will not dump the cubes then the ice sensor/control board may have failed.

No Water to Ice Dispenser

Pour about 1/2 cup of water into ice maker . If it dumps , replace the water valve . If doesn't dump , replace the ice maker. Also make sure the coils are clean of dust , lint , etc...
