for sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it

this solves your messaging problem ...

Click the center keypad left until you see the "Messaging" option.
Click "New Message."Click "Text Message."


Enter the telephone number of the person (or people) you wish to send the message to. You can also select people from your contact list by clicking "Add" and then clicking "From Contacts." Select the contacts you wish to text by clicking "Mark" and then click "Done" when everyone has been selected.

Click down until you are in the "Text" box. Type in the message you wish to send. Click "Send."

You cannot send text messages on a 1x connection. Since you only have a 1x connection it means that your signal strength is quite weak and you are not getting a EVDO (aka 3G) signal.
This is not a problem with your phone but rather a problem with your cellular service provider. I would recommend contacting your service provider and telling them about your problem. They will find a way to boost the signal so you can have an EVDO connection and send text messages.

you can find list option under message tab , using that first create a list , then add your contact details in that list ,while sending message you can opt to send to group or list ,so that you can send to many at same time using group text

Follow This:

Messaging>Messaging Settings>Text Message>Send Long Text As..>Multiple SMS
