I would check the water pump for a blockage, there could be something in the pump preventing it from doing its job as the machine cant go to the next cycle until the water has been expelled before the machine can continue eric
You need to isolate the drain pump and check the voltage at the time of the drain cycle. If no voltage is present then you need to check on the control board as it can be a failure of the drive. If voltage is present but there is no drain action then the valve pump is stuck, choked or faulty. remove and check: click on : Drain.
It is likely that the pump/filter has blocked thus preventing the water pumping out.
You would need to check and if so unblock it. The location of the pump/filter varies with the brand but sometimes it is behind a flap at the lower front of the machine whilst on others you have to get the back off to locate it.
Remove drain hose from where it connects to the plumbing under the sink/tub. Inspect the spigot. If clogged, clean. If clean, then tilt machine back and remove drum to pump hose from pump. Check hose and also drain pump. Clear any obstructions.
