Dl fault appears, although MAH-24 model washer has never yet opperated. Water pressure is normal. Voltage is normal.

Of course dl refers to door lock error. There is apparently nothing wrong with the door lock. How do I override the problem and get on with using the washer?

  • merlinlib Jul 20, 2009

Have MAH-24 Maytag washer. Has never been used. Installed in RV two or three years ago. No warranty. Always indicates dl fault when trying any setting. Does not fill, does nothing but time-out about fifteen seconds, then error message. Good voltage. Good water pressure. Apparently nothing wrong with door lock. How does one override the door lock problem in order to get something to function.
    Have already received dumb suggestions.

  • merlinlib Jul 20, 2009

    Seems reasonable.

Apparently there IS something wrong with the door switch. If you can, just jumper it out. Open the lid and get to the door switch. Tie the two wires together ans see if that cures it. That's it, try it!

DL is a door latch error.
(or door lock) check that the door is fully closed.
It may have been damaged during shipping.
If it is damaged - there should be a no charge warranty repair done.
If it is simply that the door is locked - consult your manual on the steps to unlock it.

Thanks for using FixYa - please accept this answer to remove it from the queue.

The timer will not advance because it is not getting the door latch sensor's OK that the door is shut/locked.

There is no override - it must be repaired.

The logic simply will not allow the cycle to advance for safety reasons.

Consult the place of purchase for warranty service or replcaement.

    Thanks.

Hi i have a lg washing machine wft8061dd,can u please tell me why PE appear when it turn on

Water level sensor fault This fault code is fairly self-explanatory and tells you that the washing machine has detected an error with the pressure sensor or pressure switch. It is rare to see this error code on LG washers.
On non-display panel models this fault code can be shown by the lights for fuzzy, heating and speedy or super, normal and hold being lit or flashing.
  • Check water level sensor
  • Check wiring to water pressure sensor
  • Check connections to water level sensor

My washer can wash but cannot drain water from thye tub. how can i fix this?

The question is pretty loose so I will do the best I can without knowing the model and type of washer but they are all basically the same.

If the washing machine appears to be functioning normally but simply won't pump away the water then the possible causes (in the most likely order) are a blockage somewhere, a pump failure, or an electrical fault stopping the pump from running.
Blockages are the more likely explanation, but pumps can fail. If the washing machine will not empty the water out you may also not be able to open the door on some washing machines although these days it's much rarer to have a pneumatic lock on the door due to cost cutting [ if a washing machine has a pneumatic door safety lock a rubber hose is connected to the door interlock from a pressure chamber bottle on the tub - water in the tub forces air up this tube and locks the door, which is released when the water is pumped out and the air pressure drops].
Full and detailed advice about finding your pump filter, draining the washing machine when stuck full of water and looking for blockages can be found here - troubleshooting pump faults on a washing machine.
If this is helpful a vote with the thumbs up would be appreciated for the free advice and is you need furthur explanaition please feel free to contact me .

Kenmore washer model number 417.44082400 giving error code E21

If the control detects that the washer still has water in it even though it is apparently dry, the control will continue to run the drain pump and will not go into the spin model. If the tub is completely dry, you could have a problem with the water level pressure switch or the control board. This would normally cause an E21 error code on the washer. I provided the technical information for this washer in the image below. The washer will normally signal an error code with a series of blinking lights on the console when the washer will not go into the spin mode. I recommend that you continue to allow the drain pump to run for a while and see if an error code will appear. This will normally indicate the likely failed component that is causing this problem. The information below is intended for technicians. Follow electrical safety guidelines if you use this information. Unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components. Some of the checks below call for live voltage checks. I do not recommend that you conduct this type of test on the washer. Live voltage checks should only be conducted by a service technician.

Overfilling fault

I believe the washer has had a flood type situation.there is normally a flood switch in the very bottom of the dishwasher right at the very floor,if water get into the bottom tray it floats a piece polystyrene foam wich triggers a little micro switch wich will run the pump continually & show Overfilling fault at the same time..The water in the tray needs to be mopped out with a rag or spunge so that the styrene foam can drop back down. The blockage you had may have caused this flood situation some how.The overfill fault was probably due to the washer not pumping out,So that may be ok now that you have cleared the blockage.hope this helped.

Kenmore front load washer, model 417

Washer dryers often have cold water valves with 3 separate solenoids. One for the main wash and rinses (which is clearly ok) and one for the condition rinse (to take the fabric conditioner down) which is probably ok too, and the 3rd one is for the dryer. It's possible this 3rd solenoid has failed.

Washer dryers need on a steady trickle of cold water running into the condenser chamber to convert the steam into water, which then gets pumped down the drain.

e10 means that there is a problem with the water supply.
a condenser dryer needs cold water to operate properly. the e10 code will appear if:
1. the water is turned off
2.the water pressure is too low.
3.the solenoid valve is open circuit
4.there is a problem with the pressure switch (least likely)

Cold valve is at the end of blue inlet pipe remove lid and you will see it.

f E10 is only appearing when trying to dry, the problem almost certainly is the condenser valve solenoid open circuit. The green solenoid on the inlet valve. Should read about 4000 ohms.

My money would be on the solenoid coil being open circuit. The coil can be canabalised from most valves although you may have to modify the connections. For simpler repairs - contact Zanussi and get the entire triple inlet water valve to swap out.

Bosch washer/dryer

I also have the same washer and same problem, and it is not due to clogged filters nor due to low pressure!

Any solutions so far?
