I'm trying to connect to antenna. Every time I scan the channels it only scans Channel 1.

Another TV in my house picked up multiple channels through the antenna. It autoscanned each channel. Hitachi stops at CHannel 1.

Can't change channels stuck on 4 tried scanning it but it goes back to 4 won't change on the tv or a remote

When you run a scan the TV changes to every channel and tries to tune in a station. that is why it takes so long. If your TV is only finding channel 4, I would guess that is the only station strong enough for it to pick-up. You should check and / or replace your antenna and or antenna cable. Then re-scan the channels. with a better antenna, it should find more stations.
Most older Tube type TVs need a converter to pick-up digital TV, if you have a converter, make sure it is plugged in.

You should not be getting any stations without a digital tuner TV or a converter box.

The FCC site says this:

The FCC established September 1, 2015 as the date for the termination of all analog low-power television service. Since that date, analog television should no longer exist in the United States. Until that time, LPTV stations were allowed to continue to operate their analog facilities.

How to tune in Channel 60 in a Sony Triniton CRT?

assuming that you can "pick up" channel 60..and that the signal is strong enuff...that is part one..make sure you have a good antenna connection and that the antenna is positioned for maximum pick up, then do the scan mode on the tv via the remote control. it will re scan the channels and if the signal from channel 60 is being picked up strong enough, it will program the channel into your set automatically.

My Westinghouse W3223 television occassionally loses channel 4-1. I don't mean can't find a signal, but it completely disappears from the TV. Not in the mannual channel select menu, no where to be found....

This problems is alway the airial positions of the antena work for some tv not for other.Because of wrong poistion tv or wrong antena position reception could work for one tv don't work for another tv.Buy another tv antena used for that tv for it alone will solved this problems.

Tv wont pick up channels

Have you been into scanning settings and set to DTV , it seems like you are either on ATV or have a bad Antenna connection. If signal is weak from your Antenna you can add a booster in the section between your wall socket and the TV. You cannot use Satellite dish connections to receive either ATV or DTV signals without a set top box ...

VIORE PLC7V95 7'' portable TV, cant get channels when scan

I notice that on mine, the positioning of the included tv antenna is very, very, very finicky. I also don't know how to "add" a new channel other than to hook it to the big house antenna and pick "re-scan" (or auto-scan or whatever it's called).

So I think your best bet is to pick a better antenna or know that even the tiniest fiddling with the antenna makes a diff. Sometimes, I even have the antenna horizontal (using the magnet) to get the good reception on a given channel. Seems like a hassle except that what should I expect from a tiny antenna....

WHY MUST I RESCAN ALL THE TIME?

You may have several problems. If you are using a indoor antenna, upgrade to a outdoor antenna. The indoor antenna has to be adjusted every time you change a channel. If you plan to sit in a chair and never move when watching tv, you may be able to pick up a channel or two. Get a UHF/VHF antenna from a home improvement store. The big box electronic stores are selling a digital antenna. There is no such thing. The antenna doesn't know if the signal is digital or analog, it just picks up uhf and vhf signals. The other problem could be that the box is bad if it is not saving the scan. I would check the antenna first from what you said though.

Turn tv on and get no program or weak signal message.

You should be watching tv in no time. Email me and let me know how it went I would like to know if I was able to help. [email protected]

1-You didn't say what model tv you have. Is it a HDTV?
2-Are you using an over the air (roof) or set top antenna connected to the tv?
3-Are you getting the no program or weak signal message on all channels?
4-Have you tried first cycling through the source or input button to make sure you are on TV and not on an input. Sometimes if you are on an input and for example the device connected to that input is off you wil get a no signal until you turn the device first but you probably already know that.
5-When you were in the process of scanning for channels assuming you had an over the air antenna connected did you make sure and select the ota option and not cable? if you have an ota antenna and not cable you need to select ota before scanning for channels.

Now assuming you have an ota antenna and you chose ota before scanning or doing a re scan and after the scan you still get the no program or weak signal message that means there is no signal and you may be using the wrong antenna or try moving the antenna in the direction of the television tower if you know where that is or turn in another direction but unless you are using the wrong antena you should get something.

Assuming you received some channels or even if you did not, try to and add channels by hand. Heres how: first you need to know the RF frequency channel or digital channel its transmitting on you just cant input the number of the display channel you want like on a tube at least not initially but you can after you first input the rf or digital channel number first and saving it on your tv then you can just input the display channel number you are used to. Heres how to manually force the tv to enter a channel without a scan or re scan and possibly loosing other channels with a rescan.

Go here http://www.rabbitears.info/search.php and go to state search choose your state from drop down list and click search now do you see the list of stations? on the left you have the display channel (thats the number you usually entered on a regular tv) and next to that is the digital channel (thats the number you need to enter on an hdtv or dtv initially to force the tv to accept the channel because if you just enter the number your used to initially the tv wont find it) the tv should now automatically redirect you to the channel you are normally used to and any digital equivalent and any sub channels for that channel. Now save it into memory in your tv menu channel list. do this for every channel for your area if you were unable to pick up any stations during a scan.
