My wave cable hd dta remote will not turn offandontv...repair guy said to ask vizio

I needed to setup my Vizio TV's remote to control the Cisco DTA 170HD. I was able to get it working by using the Scientific Atlanta code 01877. Follow this link to read the user manual for the Vizio and there are more codes posted in there.

Vizio HDTV- Lips out of sync

Anyone with a new Vizio E601i-A3 60" or 70" HDTV that is having audio "Lips out of sync problems" with a cable or satellite box.

On Comcast cable boxes (or others), here's what you need to do: FIND MENU for AUDIO or HDMI setup on CABLE BOX or Satellite Box.

FOR COMCAST

1. Turn on TV and have Cable box Turned OFF.

2. Press MENU on COMCAST REMOTE.

3. Go to AUDIO Setting OR HDMI Setting. (On cable or Sat. BOX)

4. Change setting from Auto to L-PCM. (Turn off cable box to exit)

This should resolve any "out of sync" lips to picture after commercials on HD channels.

*This is a handshaking issue from the cable box to the Vizio E601i-A3

It appears that when you go back to normal tv from hdtv you are able to see the overscan area. Change the aspect of your image with the appropriate button on your Vizio remote and or cable remote. Apparently the button that changes the aspect on the Vizio remote is the wide button. The cable remotes will usually have hd zoom (#), aspect or format.

Universal remote code for Vizio sound bar is 1517.

The signal board is bad. Replace this board, its the one with the rca jacks and rf connectors. Warranty work will cover this repair. As we say in Nebraska.......Getter Done!!!!!

You need an Vizio authorized TV repair guy to check out the problem for you.

This sounds like the main power board went bad. If this is still under warranty, contact 1-877-MYVIZIO and they will have it repaired for you. if not, let me know and I will guide you to the right part.

I am a Verizon tech and the remotes we use work for Vizio sets just fine. If for some reason the remote wont work and he tried 3 different ones then it has to be your set. I set FIOS up all day and have no trouble with those TVs
