Hi! I'd like to ask for help with my Saeco Odea Go V2 that suddenly has stopped working and shows a flashing red exclamation. Looking for some info in the internet I found some disassembly diagrams and some how-to videos. I've realized that the problem is in the coffee brewing unit and have disassembled it following the diagrams to see how it actually operates. I've also activated the Test Mode and operated the brew unit so I noticed that I can put the brew unit all way up. The upper light flashes when it reaches the top but the problem is that a second after it starts its movement from the lower point the exclamation light also flashes and keeps flashing until I put the brew unit back down. It stops flashing a second before it reaches the bottom point and the lower light flashes once. So I've noticed that the trouble is on the lower switch of the two ones that interact with the big gear that moves the brew unit, but I've checked it with a electronic tester and it seems to be working properly, opens and closes the electric circuit when I manually operate it. The upper switch seems to be a limit switch one that stops the brew unit movement in both directions, lifting and lowering. But I don't know exactly what the lower switch is for. I think it could be pre-end switch to change the speed of the movement or so... The fact is that if it is NOT OPERATED (moving or upper point) the exclamation flashes showing the error and the coffee machine doesn't work at all. If it is OPERATED INDEED (only near or lower point) the exclamation stops flashing. May it be causing problems because of a software malfunction or any other matter? I've managed to repair the coffee machine by putting an adhesive tape that blocks the switch as always operated cancelling its function. Not a very stylish solution thought ;- but at least it works!!! Can anyone please give me any clue about the real function of this switch or a way to repair this coffee machine? Thanks everyone for reading and for your help!!!
SOURCE: The machine was working fine until the trouble
Sounds like the brew unit is blocked, check the screen under the red O-ring.
SOURCE: Coffee not brewing after grinding
After grinding did you hear the brew group goes up and pump start? If you hear the pump start and stopped, itis blockage in the brewunit metal screen. Just needs cleaning.
If you don't hear the pump starting, the problem is with the faulty micro switch inside the gearbox , that is behind the plate of brewunit.(service center job)

The sensors on these machines can be a little temperamental, so we often see them in for warranty repair because of this. The water level sensor is a white rectangular piece (1" x 1/2" x 1/4") located between the water tank and the grinder.
Check out.Keep updated.Thanks.

The thing that comes to mind is the brew unit is blocked and or the grind is too fine. Remove the brew unit and clean the screen under the red o-ring.
SOURCE: saeco odea does not brew. coffee beans will grind,
Hi...Keep on grinding until the Auto Dosing System readjust the amount of grind to be in the optimum. Normally it takes 3 to 4 grinds. Whenever we change the type of beans, this condition happens, it is not a problem.

Hi, thanks for the workaround: blocking the lower sensor. I have the same issue. Did you troubleshoot the cause since 2016?
Hi! Really? Same problem? Happy to hear it was useful for you. I haven't been able to get any other solution, but can say that it is still working properly, so not so a bad fix at least... Hope it can help others!!!
