I'd have to check headlamp voltage circuit to the headlamp switch, red wire, see if it is hot. Use a testlight. Next, I'd have to check voltage circuits to and from dimmer switch for high and low beams.

Sorry Shannon but this is something best left to an automotive electrical repair shop. This is very complex with lighting control module controlling the lights . But if you want to try ,I suggest you go to youtube an check out some videos on basic electrical trouble shooting , how to read wiring diagrams , voltage drop testing . Then buy a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter . Go to http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html , You can get free wiring diagrams there.

How to fix non working headlights

First check your fuses. If ok. Turn your headlight switch and see if rear parking lights turn on. If they do more than likely your headlight switch is not your problem. If running lights dont come on, check your headlight switch operation..

Both my low beam and high beam wont work. And my headlights wont go down even when lights are turned off and the button is unpressed on the inside.

check the headlight relays ,
Check for possible faulty light stalk switch also. Dash lights may fail with this possible cause.

My headlights wont work

I don't believe there is a fuse. There is a circuit breaker built into the headlight switch. If you are sure the headlight switch is good, it could be a bad dimmer switch. If you have a voltmeter, with the headlight switch turned on, a larger yellow wire going from the headlight switch to the dimmer switch should be a hot wire. The dimmer switch sends power on a tan wire to the low beams, and through a light green wire to the high beam bulbs.
If your high beam indicator on the dash also doesn't work, then it is likely one of those switches. A voltmeter or test light would need to be used to find which one is bad. If you can find the connector at the steering column going to the dimmer switch, pull it apart and check for power on the yellow wire coming from the headlight switch, with the headlight switch turned on. If no power, the headlight switch is bad. If there is power there, then the dimmer switch must be bad.

Headlights wont turn

sounds like the headlight switch is defective and needs replacing, but you need to check to make sure the rod that the switch pushes against if make the full travel and not short as this will not allow the switch to change from low beam to high beam.if the rod is travelling the full length then the switch is no good.you should also hear a click when moving the arm to go from low to high if not then the switch is bad.by holding the lever at a certain position to get the high beams to work this also indicates a switch problem.

1999 Silverado 1500 Headlights will not turn off

Turn the headlight switch to the off position (not auto) and depress the overhead light button, located just below the cargo light switch, several times ( 3-5 times) until you hear a bell then the headlight switch actually works as indications show around the knob.

Headlights wont work

Well...lets start with the obvious. Check fuses and NEVER piggyback any stereo or security stuff into their fuses...you dont want the lights to shut down during a night drive!!
Check under the hood for a relay center...also has some fuses there as well.

The Daytime Running Lamps are a "straight through wiring configuration". Doubt it even goes through a headlight switch at all.
But the regular lights do.
Unless you've worked on the front of the car and forgot to plug the headlights back in, do this...
Turn the light switch on...looking at the instrument cluster , can you make the high-beam-indicator light come on?
As you rotate the headlight switch knob...does the instrument panel lights brighten or dim? You probably have a faulty headlight switch...auto stores have them...they simply plug in.
