Frigidaire frs26zgg ice maker is not working

It sounds like there may be an issue with the water inlet valve or the wiring between the ice maker and the water inlet valve. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the water supply line: Make sure that the water supply line is properly connected and there are no kinks or blockages in the line.
  2. Check the water inlet valve: Make sure that the water inlet valve is functioning properly and is not clogged or damaged. You can test the valve by jumping the two terminals with a small piece of wire. If the valve opens, it is functioning properly.
  3. Check the wiring: Make sure that the wiring between the ice maker and the water inlet valve is securely connected and there are no loose or damaged wires.
  4. Check the ice maker control board: The control board is responsible for controlling the ice maker and may be the cause of the issue if it is faulty. You can test the control board by unplugging the fridge and using a multimeter to check for continuity between the control board terminals.
If none of these troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to consult the manufacturer or a professional appliance repair technician for further assistance.

Ice billed up in and around ice dispencer even when ice maker is off.

You don't mention a brand or model. All ice makers and chilled water dispensers must have a household water supply. This is controlled by water valves (much like a washing machine) that turns the water flow on and off as needed. If you've cleaned out the ice maker compartment, cleared away all ice build up and the icing problem recurs (usually over a period of days) then the water valve is leaking which lets water dribble into the ice maker compartment forming the ice. You can prove this by shutting off the water supply to the refrigerator (or even disconnecting it.) A new water valve should solve the problem.

For the past month the ice maker is not dispensing ice cubes. The water supply valve is turned on, there is no kinks in the water source line and the ice maker is turned on. I ran out of ideas. Do you have...

Hi

The water tube that supplies water to the ice maker is possibly frozen up.

The way to check this is to empty all food out of both sections and store alsewhere, then turn off and unplug the unit. Wait for 24 to 36 hours with the doors partially open to allow all the ice to melt.

Change the water filter and plug in and switch on.

Run off around a gallon of water to prime the system. You should then get chilled water around 4 hours later and ice after 12 hours.

If there is still no ice you may find that the trace heater on the ice maker water tube is faulty and may need to be replaced

Ice maker is on but is not producing ice

The ice maker is probably not getting water. Have you heard the water valve click on and off to allow water to flow to the ice maker? If you get chilled water from the fridge, the ice maker's water valve will probably sound very similar to when you dispense chilled water. Try the water to listen for it. Then, listen for it over the course of an hour or so to determine if the ice maker is doing the same thing. If you hear it - then there may be a blockage in the line or filter.

If you don't have provisions to get chilled water from your fridge (ice only) or notice that you can't get water from your fridge any more: Make sure the water supply is on and.. that supply line isn't kinked or got crushed when the fridge was pushed back into position. This is a pretty common occurrence. If you don't hear any water valve clicking, the valve itself may have failed or there may be a problem with the electrical circuit. Hopefully, you won't have to got beyond this, but if so - let us know.

Good luck!

The valve can leak because of sediment in the water preventing it from closing or low water pressure
. Disconnect the ice maker line from the water inlet valve valve(on the back where the water supply connects). and watch to see if it has a slow drip.

Ice maker is not working. No water is getting up to maker. Ice maker sounds like it is working. Tube in back has no water in it.Arm is down. Water is coming out of door just fine. There is no built in...

There is a screen in the water inlet valve where the water supply connects. OR The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube.

The icemaker in my Bauknecht KGN 7010 F/F has stopped making ice

First you need to find out if the lie is blocked. Disconnected water feed and try to run water through it into a bucket or sink. If you get water it is a valving problem. Also make sure the filter is clear.

Ice maker not working on Amana Side by Side refrigerator

On most Amana cabinets the water supply for the water and ice are from two solenoid valves. The water coming in goes to a double water solenoid valve splitting the incoming water so the fact there is water coming through as chilled water is not verifying that there is water supply for the ice maker. If technically minded you could locate this valve (normally at the back rhs ; compressor section) and try switching the supplies to check the solenoid valve. If you have water coming through then it may well be the icemaker module not asking for the water supply. As the simplest first step I would try defrosting the whole machine overnight and see if there is an improvement. I do know that checking the module is time expensive and would really need to be done by an engineer or alternatively replace this item. Hope this is of some help.
