SONY BRAVIA ONE BAND TO CHANGE TO MULTIPLE BAND

Somewhere in your menu to do with shooting change your setting from multiple to single shot.

A defective display panel.

If the line is Horizontal then you deffinantly have a cable issue, replace the cable and that should do it, if it continues the problem could be in the port itself, if using HDMI switch to VGA or composite to test this theory. please keep me posted.

Its a TAB bond Problem with the LCD. You can take apart the TV and install a rubber Bumper to put pressure on the TAB. TAB bonds always get worse... I dont know how long it will solve the issue... but u can get a little more life out of it.
Rember when working with the TV the voltages can kill!!

I have the same TV...same problem...common problem...unless u ask Sony.

i have color bands running through the picture

It is most likely the TCON board (located at the top right against the LCD panel). When these boards have problems, they can act up when cold or warmed up.

You will want to check with any extended warranty company you might have, or Sony's part website for the availability of the TCON board.

The problem here is, sometimes those TCONs are not made available separately and need to be replaced with the screen.

If you have to replace the panel, buy a new tv. You'll save yourself a costly repair.

Since this TV is still new, it's much faster if you exchange the unit at the place of purchase and get a new one. You can also call Sony at 1-800-345-7669 (SONY) and get it service for free.

Toggle through the "Picture Format" settings from your tv remote.

Flip through cinema mode, too standard....etc

try menu, then set up, make sure tuning band is set to cable if u have cable or air if your using antenna, then go to auto serch for channels
