TEC B-472 works great using label view in xp, when I upgraded to windows 8 and installed the latest drivers it prints but doesn't stop and aligns correctly

Check in your software, you may have a alignement option checked or activated.

If you are using a windows driver do not use Topix in the graphics.
Use 8 bits or 4 bits. The firmaware may not be able to understand the Topix algorithm. What you have is a syntax error displayed.

define the pages et label size in the driver, check that you have validated the coreect use (direct or thermal transfer) gap, black mark etc..
Once the driver install , you can use ssdal send file.txt to snd a file to the printer. Check with the help /? option

You probaly have a graphics issue.
Do not use topix compression, it may be unavailable on your printer. Use 8 bits or nibble

Perform hard reset of electronics and also re install the driver.

Do not use Topix graphics which may not be available on old TEC printers

How are the printers connected to the pcs?

2 possibilities.
- The communication parameters are not correct
Try 9600 bds
8 data bits
1 stop bit (defaults)
Or the control character is not correct
See parameters

First of all can you print just from the printer ie
Turn on the power while
holding down the [FEED]
key and [PAUSE] key?

Try with CUPS --- oh, sorry, it's for Linux only, my bad
