Hi Echucaellect,

Thanks for the insight. I have a Samsung front loader washer, and have the same problem. Can you tell me how I can fix and retreave the quarter/coin?

Thanks,

Take off the front panel

on the bottom/front of the drum is the heater- held in with 10 mm nut - slacken the nut- this will loosen the heater in its holder- pull out the heater- this gives you access to the bottom of the tank

Hello, I have a front load LG TROMM WM2277HB and yesterday it wouldn't spin anymoreand there was a noise coming from inside like 2 metal cylinders were rubbing on each other. I called SEARS Serv

if the machine fails to spin and makes noise there are thee things to check .if it fails to drain the water check if something is stuck on the drain pump no 2 turn the drum with your hand and check if the drum is moving freely if not something is stuck between the drum and the housing if the bearings are faulty the machine spins but makes alot of noise towards the end of the cycle i hope this will help you.

Noise during high speed spin cycle

sounds like the bearings need replaced, when replacing bearings you need to replace all of them to ensure proper function and life longevity.

When spinning at higher speeds, there was a sound that could only be the drum hitting or catching something. The drum has now dropped about an inch. I took it all apart yesterday & could see nothing...

It's hard to give much detail without a model number, but it sounds like you are working on a front load washer.
If the tub of a front load washer has dropped down and is rubbing on the outer tube as it spins around then I would suspect the rear drum bearings are bad.
You can remove the back access panel from your washer and see if there is a trail of grease and water residue running down from the center tub bearing.

When in spin cycle it sounds like a bearing is going bad. It gets louder and louder.. Can the part be replaced? Is this a common problem?

Make sure that it is a bear problem. Have you thought that it might be a coin stuck on the edge of the drum that rubs on the washers main housing structure? Good Luck

Lg intellowash 7.5 wd1025fb. loud dry bearing like noise on spin cycle

could be a coin or something stuck around the drum area. check all areas around where it spins. get a magnet if you don't see anything visible and run it along all the area.

Spin cycle appears to be broken. washer just hums

Humming can indicate a stalled motor...If a coin is jammed in the pump impeller it will often do what you describe...Check via pump filter access door...Good luck....Nomess

There is something in between the drum and housing. We have drained the washer and cleaned the filter still it is still there.

it seems like the drum will have to be removed to get to the offending object. it is probably stuck between the seal and drum, like a coin.

Front load washer- coin removal

Hi, The coin is probably inside the baffle that tosses the clothes around. I believe this nodel has a screw that holds the baffle in place. I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
