Is there an icon I can install on my desktop to go directly to gmail?

Go into apps menu and drag it back on the home screen

Sorry no such icon is available.

What version of windows are you using? Windows 7 you can create a shortcut to your gmail account on the desktop. Download and save a Gmail Icon file (should be .ico from somewhere like http://findicons.com/search/gmail) then right click on the newly created shortcut on your desktop, choose properties, choose change icon under the shortcut tab, browse to where you icon was saved when you downloaded it and click on the file [your shortcut icon should now display your new icon]. Next click on your desktop shortcut holding your right mouse button and drag it to your task bar and release the right mouse button when pin to task bar is displayed.

Open a Web browser and sign into your Gmail account.

how about a gmail icon on your desktop that way you'd be able
to just click on the icon and it take you to the sign in at gmail
if you want to do this,
go to gmail
sign in
right click on the word google
there will be a menu come up
find COPY SHORTCUT
click on it and it will ask you if you want a
shortcut to gmail on the desktop
click yes or ok and then check to see if the shortcut icon is on the
desktop

Sounds like you need to set the screen resolution for the monitor. The computer should recognize each screen individually in the desktop options dialog. If it doesn't recognize the two different screens, you may want to change the resolution when you plug in the monitor.

it only shows up when you are logged into your gmail account. log into your gmail. see your name on the left under chat on the left side of your screen, see how there is a camera icon there? if not hold mouse over your name and got the video and more option to set up your camera.
